He / she will be responsible to provide Global oversight for Demand, Supply and Inventories for assigned strategic product(s) and assigned markets.
The Brand Supply Chain Manager works on mid-term and long-term plans. Mid-term (3-24 months) will focus on managing demand plans in response to demand fluctuations and overall inventory strategies and ensures to capture this by a feedback loop to the supply organizations.
The Long-term (3-5 years) focuses on ensuring operational capacities are sufficient to meet commercial demand LRP projections.
The Brand Supply Chain Manager interfaces with Finance, Regulatory, Marketing, Affiliates, Manufacturing, TPMs and QA to translate demand into comprehensive demand, replenishment and inventory plans.
Responsible to understand and appropriately support demand changes from monthly published commercial forecast and proactively report demand analysis results.
Meet with Division Commercial operations and local affiliates to challenge and understand forecasts.
Responsible for coordination of New Product Introductions and Label changes for assigned suppliers. Coordinate with affiliates and supplier and demand management of old vs. new item codes.
Cross functional communication with different departments to ensure fulfillment of customer requests.
Proactively avoid product backorders and develop action plans upon their occurrence.
Meet Regularly with Global Product Managers to review and implement coherent operations strategies.
Accountable for providing weekly / monthly Replenishment forecast to assigned sources and in line with contracts and MSA’s.
Manage shortage of supplies and provide business impact and mitigation scenarios.
Ensure close collaboration & communication with TPM’s or manufacturing sites, to achieve alignment on supply chain topics such as inventory, capacity, constraints and NPI’s.
Accountable to issue on-time PO’s to the assigned suppliers and maintenance of this PO portfolio.
Provide LRP and capacity analysis for assigned products.
Responsible to measure Supplier Performance, reporting of results and provide appropriate CAPA in case of performance below target
Maintain Supplier Agreements with supply chain partners in accordance with the approved templates.
Provide (internal) customers and suppliers with pro-active information about any change in supply and / or shipments plans.
Coordinate action plans to align demand and supply.
Lead Demand & Operational Planning meetings and Management Review Meeting involving Senior Management.
Provide a leadership role in establishing global inventory strategies across the supply chain of the franchise(s). Drive inventory investment decisions, accountable for inventory.
Provides inventory projections / Last Best Estimates for assigned product portfolio.
Responsible for maintaining appropriate inventory levels within the nodes of Supply Chain in scope of the Supply Chain Planner.
Manage any slow or non-moving inventory to avoid obsolescence. Proactively work with customer and supplier to prevent and / or manage inventory write-off.
Lead cross-functional efforts to resolve risks to customer service as quickly as possible when they arise.
Create and maintain planning parameters in SAP to assure optimal replenishment plan is created.
Responsible for providing (Master Data) input for new material creations in SAP.
Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal EPD stakeholders, (third party) manufacturing plants, and regional counterparts.
Assure compliance with local and Abbott quality, financial, and regulatory rules, policies, and procedures.
Manage, participate and / or support projects, including re-sourcing strategies.
Drive continues improvement.
Represent Supply Chain in BRM, D&OP, Workstream and other cross-functional meetings.
Manage weekly and monthly KPI reporting & (short) interval control reports.
Create / Maintain critical Product or Supplier Information as per agreed templates / tools.
Commercial / Business Administration education, Engineering education and / or university diploma in logistics and planning
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English and Dutch.

Qualities and experience
At least 5 years’ relevant experience in demand / supply planning & scheduling process and systems, preferably SAP / APO.
Proven self-starter, able to work independently on complex cross functional issues and projects.
Takes initiative and provides leadership
Good communication skills and an ability to work-cross functionally in an international environment.
Experienced in managing top brands and / or key (third party) manufacturing sites with high (management) exposure.
Both an ability to see the big picture and an attention to detail.
Adaptable and maintain the ability to be flexible in an ever changing and challenging environment. Project management skills a plus
