As R&D Project Manager in IGT Systems, you are responsible for End-to-End managing a project within the continuum of care enabling Philips HealthTech businesses.

The scope of the job is to develop a technical product that is a part of our medical system or solution. You are responsible from the initial start until the introduction in the market.

In this role you need to achieve the project objectives, while balancing schedules, costs, quality objectives and other project related requirements.

You are responsible for

  • Prepares and implements projects for complex medical systems in multi-discipline areas in accordance with agreed conditions on specification, time, cost, quality and staffing.
  • Projects have an innovative character.

  • Is involved in formulating the overall project assignment and having the assignment and plan approved by the relevant stakeholders
  • Drive projects with excellent team managing skills and stakeholder management
  • Builds and maintains the project organization, chooses the way of working and selects the adequate tools. Defines the interfaces with other functions, internal and external Philips.
  • Needs to manage the risks of the project.
  • Leads employees, and where necessary sub-project managers, both technically and executional.
  • Is responsible for quality initiatives and deploys process improvements that makes the project organization efficient and transparent.
  • Represents the project team in the business and provides business management with regular project performance status updates.
  • Ensures that there is an effective transfer and archiving of the project results and the associated knowledge.
  • Reports on employees’ performance to the department manager of the employees for the purpose of appraisal.
  • You are a part of

    You will be part of a team with 15 experienced project managers, managing cross-functional projects varying from small to big projects.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Master degree in a technical direction. Degree qualification in project management is required.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, in a technical environment in healthcare (e.g. stakeholder management, technical complexity) in an international context
  • Experience in driving system development projects
  • Knowledge of system development, software and hardware including experience with validating and releasing systems in high regulated medical environment
  • Proven excellent presentation, verbal and written skills. Fluent in English.
  • Self-starter, entrepreneurship, drive. Strong ambition to achieve.
