FR&R is exclusively and globally responsible for all loans which are in default or which involve an increased credit risk and the potential of provisions and write offs regarding these loans.
We assume credit responsibility for all clients with increased credit risks, once this has been decided within the existing delegation model of the relevant business line.
You will be actively involved in resolution scenarios of complex credit agreements with predominantly international collateral aspects.
The emphasis is on developing, directing and implementing scenarios to achieve the best possible solution for both the bank and the client, whether or not through suspension of payment or insolvency.
You will receive files from both FR&R Restructuring as well as directly from a business line. You will work closely with business units and offices across the world.
A significant part of our clients are part of C&IB (amongst others TCF, Diamonds & Jewellery and Transportation), but clients also come from the international part of Private Banking and Asset Based Finance.
You will have frequent contacts with our colleagues at the international branches and subsidiaries concerning those parts of the FR&R portfolio which fall within their local authority.
You will have a coaching role and you will identify areas of attention and training needs within these teams. On substantive matters, you will give advice, both solicited and unsolicited, on the business lines’ resolution plans, and you will report your findings to the FR&R management team.
You will work within a deal team and you will maintain contacts with colleagues, clients, administrators, advisors and other relevant parties.
You will also be able to pursue formal legal solutions. Where necessary, you will receive close and intensive support from the team and (internal and external legal) experts and you will be given the opportunity to follow a postgraduate course in insolvency law.
Completing this course is mandatory for receiving (discretionary) approval authority.This is a very dynamic and valuable job with large responsibilities.
You will have frequent negotiations with clients, administrators and other investors, for instance about the sale of collateral pledged to us.
and you must be able to modify your approach in line with their recommendations. You are therefore a strong personality who is able to maintain a helicopter view of the situation in hand.
Your working environment
FR&R International Clients & Specialized is focused on financial restructuring and recovery activities for all international clients (both corporate and (international) private banking) and the large corporate clients in the Netherlands.
The IC&S team is formed of approximately 45 professionals which are active in an international environment with multiple stakeholders (banks, other creditors, advisors, etc.
and multiple legal jurisdictions.We guide client through rough times where there is space again for dreams and ambitions.
We do have an eagerness to learn and develop, are solution driven and have a can-do mentality. Within the deal teams we provide feedback to develop ourselves and our team members.
We are looking for a professional who will draft and implement creative and solution-oriented action plans within FR&R policy parameters.
You have a qualification at academic level and you have knowledge of and experience with commercial lending by banks. You are self-
confident and able to perform under pressure. Given that you will be working in various deal teams team, you must be a team player, but you must also be able to act independently.
Because of the international nature of the work, you are prepared to travel and can adapt to different international environments and cultures.
You have a thorough knowledge of Dutch and English, both spoken and written.Competencies : - Strong communication and negotiation skills-
