As the leader of Health Economics and Market Access for (HEMA) Philips DPS (Digital Pathology Solutions) you will lead the development of Health Economics and Market Access program and activities to support full product life cycle management for the Digital Pathology (DP) product portfolio.

In your HEMA role, you will work closely with Marketing, Sales, Government Affairs, Clinical Affairs, Regulatory Affairs and other internal functions, partners, along with external regulators (e.

g., FDA, CMS), clinical laboratory, industry, and academic leaders. Your interactions and relationships will provide and collect critical intelligence required to design health economic and market access strategy and framework for evidence generation and dissemination to craft market adoption of DPS technologies along with payer acceptance and reimbursement.

You will be the HEMA inspiring leader, the HEMA authority and face to the digital pathology communities. You do not lead a team.

Location : R emote work arrangement will be considered with a minimum of about 30% on site in the Netherlands, travel to additional locations may be up to 10%.

You are responsible for

  • Design, develop, and lead health economic strategic activities that are optimized to identify, capture, and analyze healthcare related information required to generate the evidence needed to enable adoption of our technologies by healthcare providers and to enable coding by government bodies, and reimbursement by payers.
  • Design, develop, and lead market access studies that are optimized to identify, capture, and analyze claims generation, market adoption and utilization information required to generate the evidence needed to enable maximized claims, adoption of our technologies by healthcare providers and to enable coding by government bodies, and reimbursement by payers.
  • Design and develop HEMA pathways using external negotiation strategies with research and evidence development plans capable of educating key partners and crafting alignment with regulators to ensure market access, clinical adoption, and reimbursement.
  • Design detailed HEMA policy and procedures in support of needs of the business.
  • Be a high-performing cross-functional team leader to successfully deliver on these HEMA responsibilities.
  • Interact with Marketing, Regulatory, Quality, R&D and other functions to provide and collect critical input for evidence generation strategies.
  • Translate long term healthcare roadmap vision and long and short-term HEMA strategies into organizational goals and achievements; monitor progress.
  • Serve as representative of HEMA during meetings with senior management, global regulatory authorities, and business or functional groups.
  • To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor / Master in areas such as healthcare management, healthcare administration, or scientific discipline, advanced or professional degree preferred.
  • R equires 10+ years experience in health economics and market access within the in vitro diagnostic (IVD) or the medical devices industries (required).
  • In-depth knowledge of evidence generation strategies needed to drive clinical adoption, coding and reimbursement of medical technologies for investigational, research, and clinical / diagnostic uses is required.
  • Experience in digital pathology is a preference
  • Comprehensive understanding of applicable reimbursement requirements by government and private payers in the US, EU, Canada, China, Japan, additional regions preferred.
  • Experience interacting with top-level executives and regulators and payers.
  • Demonstrated management and cross-functional leadership and collaboration skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships with key internal and external partners.
  • Meticulous attention to detail and accuracy required
  • Strong communicative skills and demonstrated ability to lead multiple projects, staff and company initiatives effectively.
  • Travel on average up to 35% globally
