Position Details :

The Sales Team Regional Manager will have full responsibility for managing a team of Enterprise Sales professionals to meet and exceed regional revenue ambitions.

We are looking for a talented individual that can manage our business interests across an entire cross vertical region that includes Finance, Retail, Telecommunications, Manufacturing and Government.

This position should appeal to an experienced sales individual that has the ambition to succeed as a manager in one of the world’s leading technology corporations.

  • Experience :

  • An experienced manager with at least 5 years sales experience
  • Demonstrated success in delivering a sustainable revenue plan for your business
  • Experience in complex enterprise and commercial sales transactions
  • Strong experience in building sales pipeline, managing a forecast and closing opportunities
  • Experience in with direct sales teams, channel partners and remote telesales to achieve mutual success
  • An ability to build and sustain strong collaborative internal relationships
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Product and market knowledge in both Linux and Virtualization is essential
  • A track record capturing key customers that serve as proof sources for the go-to-market strategies and value proposition
  • Relentless focus on customer success and satisfaction, resulting in reference able accounts and positive brand awareness
  • Provide guidance to all stakeholder organizations including development, product management, consulting and customer support, establishing an effective virtual team approach towards driving a consistent set of common goals.

    motivated, hands on, credible with customers, and take charge of complex situations and drive towards win-win solutions. Additional characteristics include :

  • An experienced manager with at least 5 years management experience
  • Extensive experience selling Linux and Virtualization technology
  • You will have worked for a major Linux distribution or Virtualization provider
  • You will have 10 years sales experience in sector working with enterprise customers
  • Proven success closing big deals and working with customers to deliver sustainable business
  • You will live within easy reach of London, Vienna, Amsterdam, or Copenhagen
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills focused on precision
  • Demonstrated success working as a highly effective employee in a complex matrix organizational structure
  • BA / BSc degree with an MBA / MSc also being preferred

    Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    Overall responsibility for the regions sales, third party alliances, and customer satisfaction. Develops and implements a comprehensive strategy that maximizes Oracle*s opportunities across all products and product lines.

    Manages and develops a team of sales representatives including recruiting, hiring, and training new reps on the Oracle sales process.

    May manage a Regional Manager or Branch Manager. Sells and promotes the sales of Oracle products to customers including negotiating price, other concessions and terms and conditions of the sale.

    Participates in strategic and tactical planning for the division. Builds working relationships with license, consulting and education field managers in the respective territory to develop joint account plans.

    Develops and execute a territory plan to maximize revenue. Generates and achieves monthly territory forecasts, and accurately predicts revenue on a monthly basis.

    Manages escalation. Conducts weekly progress meetings with sales team.

    Assists in the development of short, medium, and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives. Regularly interacts across functional areas with senior management or executives to ensure unit objectives are met.

    Ability to influence thinking or gain acceptance of others in sensitive situations important. 5 or more years sales or sales management experience within technology industry.

    Ability to hire and train new sales representatives. Ability to resolve customer satisfaction issues. Demonstrated leadership skills.

    Effective written and verbal communication skills, ability to present to large and small audiences. Ability to negotiate price, other concessions and terms and conditions.

    Strong quantitative, analytical and conflict resolution abilities.
