ING s innovation office is looking for a Finance and Risk Manager
Innovation has always been part of ING’s culture, aiming at constantly reinventing the customer experience. However, today the world we are operating in is changing faster than ever before.
Customer behaviour, regulation, fintechs and low rates put very sizeable parts of our business at risk. ING needs to reinvent itself to remain a sustainable business.
Therefore we need to increasingly focus our innovation efforts on more disruptive opportunities, also outside of our current banking core.
Today, the Chief Innovation Office includes Innovation Management, Innovation Transformation, the ING Customer Experience Centre (ICEC), the Fintech Analysis and Scouting team and ING Ventures.
The Finance and Risk Manager will be responsible for but not limited to .
Defining and controlling the Innovation Office budget including the innovation fund and it s activities. Acting as single point of contact for dedicated specialists from Compliance, Legal, ORM / IRM and Corporate Audit Services who support the activities of the Chief Innovation Office
Monitoring and managing compliance, legal, audit and non-financial risk areas for the activities of the Chief Innovation Office with ING’s policies and procedures
Checking budget requests of the ICEC Accelerator initiatives to the Innovation office
Support to teams working within the innovation department with the preparation of financial reports for funding applications and preparing reports to ING sponsors
Developing accounting measures to monitor growth of innovation initiatives
Collaborating with ING’s controlling, risk, audit, legal and non-financial risk teams and financial colleagues on all related aspects of the Innovation Office

You are conscientious, well-articulated, structured, dynamic team player, comfortable working in a dynamic environment with different nationalities and disciplines.
In order to be successful in this role you will need the followings kills..
10 plus years of relevant experience in a financial management and operations management role
Extensive knowledge of IFRS accounting rules and equity accounting experience
Extensive knowledge of ING’s financial and management accounting rules and procedures
Experience with start-up valuation assessments
Experience in financial modelling
Experience in business case assessments
Excellent presentation / reporting skills
Basic to advanced understanding of how to measure innovation in ING (innovation accounting)
Strong interpersonal skills, proven ability to build and maintain relationships with senior management in a multinational environment
Good analytical skills, strong analytical skills, can do mentality, no-nonsense attitude and willingness to learn
Deep understanding of Accounting Rules, Regulations and guidelines.
Knowledge of internal and external trends and regulations which help you develop controlling processes skillfully
