We are looking for a seasoned professional with strong leadership skills and experience in defining strategy and road maps.
As Global Commodity Manager 3rd party, you will be responsible for
Managing commodity requisitions across unit and / or Product Lines with an understanding of product life cycles.
Leading the establishment of quality agreements in close cooperation with the Supplier Quality Manager.
The definition and implementation of global commodity strategy and sourcing plans with 1 3 year sight line.
Building, and where applicable chairing a demand council.
Discovering new leverage opportunities in assigned portfolio.
Drive implementation of global contracts in the market organization.
Stakeholder management (CEO / CFO and other functional executives) in the assigned organizational scope.
Challenge ways of working and drive change to enable cost savings both internally as with the supplier.
Manage the portfolio of medical products and gain deep understanding of the supply market.
Develop and manage key strategic supplier partnerships with regard to the most critical commodity and commodity clusters.
Leading the supplier sourcing process for the global suppliers in the assigned scope
Leading business review meetings and supplier evaluations for the assigned scope
Give guidance to a multi-functional team of sourcing specialists globally (e.g. supplier quality, commodity engineers and local procurement specialists).
Gain deep understanding of the supply market and deploy in the local commercial organizations.
Ensuring that all Procurement related risks are controlled and mitigated.
You are a part of
You will be part of the global commodity team for 3rd party products and services. These products and services are sold through to care providers together with our Philips imaging systems.
The commodity team consists of 13 specialized commodity leaders that work closely together with business units and commercial organizations to manage the sourcing process and drive savings.
You will be based in Eindhoven and report to the Global Commodity Cluster Leader.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master's degree (Economics, Business, Engineering or related)
At least 5 years of experience in the Purchasing / Procurement field and commodity management
Leadership skills and solid business understanding
Strong result orientation
Fact based, makes solid business cases
Experience in area of medical devices
Experience working at global, matrix organization
Experience in Large Scale Projects sales
