Your tasks and responsibilities
As Key Account Manager food value chain it is your mission to build and nurture long-lasting relationships with specific complex accounts.
Maximizing sales opportunities within the key account will be your final goal. Just realize that implementing KAM is an organizational change, not a sales technique.
Therefore this job is defined into four essential roles we believe our Key Account Manager should be able to play : Strategic AdvisorYou understand an account’s existing and future needs in depth.
You’re able to effectively communicate this within our own organization and translate it into customized solutions. Furthermore you develop joint strategies that are beneficial to all partners in the account.
Business ManagerYou retain overall responsibility for the profit, loss and growth achieved in the account. You’re responsible for setting and delivery of the right metrics, recognized by the account.
Relationship architect You build and manage internal and external relationships, involving all stakeholders and influential bodies.
You manage the contact matrix ensuring that all potential points of contact and influence are being served appropriately.
Team leader You build and lead cross functional teams that are able to anticipate and deliver solutions to meet client requirements.
You motivate and set task directions for team members without direct hierarchical control.
