As our Sales Manager Neurology, you coordinate and manage customer and other commercial activities on national level including leading and coaching of the salesforce (i.
e. Sales Representatives / Product Specialists, In Field Project managers, Account Managers, etc.) to maximize short and long term sales performance with regards to our Duodopa product.
Parkinson’s disease is the second most-common neurodegenerative disorder, affecting more than 10 million people worldwide.
In the Netherlands approximately 50.000 patients suffer from this chronic and progressive disease and will lose quality of life over time.
The cause is unknown, and although there is presently no cure, there are treatment options to manage its symptoms. AbbVie offers one of the 3 treatment options that can be offered to patients in an advanced stage of the disease.
You will join a mature, innovative team who are setting the scene for AbbVie Worldwide. You will report to the Business Unit Manager Neurology.
Deliver expected and beyond performance (Sales) in their District; Develop District Sales plan and translate it to Managers with their Sales team
Align National strategic priorities with local needs ; Create meaning and links between functional strategies : driving one connected vision whilst anticipating environmental shifts and customer needs.
Set and communicate vision and strategy, acting as facilitator among the different in-field roles and towards the brand team
People Management; Manage professional development through developments plans and coaching, develop high performers and manage low performance.
Build relationships and influence the opinions of key stakeholders (eg. KOLs, high prescribing Physicians, regional wholesalers), as identified by the Brand team strategy and by the activities planned in the District in-field team
Managing and monitoring Sales Reps and in-field team KPIs (key performance indicators)
Ensure proper use of Sales Force Management systems
Ensure optimized resource utilization in and across the in-field teams
Train Sales Force in the ways of working as a multi-disciplinary in-field team
Resolve conflicts and issues when identified within the in-field teams
Co-ordinate with RSBM’s on the Commercial activities of the key accounts
Champion District multi-disciplinary in-field meetings
Ensure that engagement plans across Districts are aligned with Brand strategy and that overall execution across District is in line with expectations
Elevate feedback and learnings to either the BUM and / or the Brand teams
Primary degree, preferably in Business, Science or Nursing
Has a minimum of 3-5 years of sales manager experience, preferably within pharmaceutical business or Medical devices
Cross divisional experience
Preferably comes from a short experience in marketing (one year, stage, PM, etc.)
Neurology & Gastroenterology knowledge and market experience is preferred
Project Management (applied in meetings, workshops etc.)
Operate and communicate effectively in a matrix environment
