Position Purpose & Summary
At Cargill Cocoa & Chocolate we expect to address several multi-disciplinary projects in the coming years, as we go through a combination of transformation and growth, while needing to continue to meet and exceed performance targets and to satisfy customers.
As the business complexity and size increases, we expect more projects to develop at the interface between operations, IT, supply chain, finance, sales and risk management, in growth projects (organic and non-organic) but also in systems upgrades and internal transformation processes.
Additionally, there will be some projects within functional areas, requiring a deep-dive in a narrower framework. This position will lead such projects.
The scope of the projects would be multi country, multi-functional areas and multiple businesses (i.e. Cocoa and Chocolate) including organizational redesign, change management and process improvements.
Cascade strategic vision to the project team(s) utilizing a thorough knowledge of portfolio management and full business / technical acumen.
Lead complex stakeholder management, including working closely together with Project Sponsor while taking the lead in project control and in resolving issues.
Motivate team members and establish a clear and positive attitude, keen sense of priorities, and relentless determination.
Provide support and coaching to project members and functional leads as appropriate.
Provide the Project Sponsor and stakeholders with a routine status of the project, actively communicating issues and threats, and ensuring that leadership alignment is a priority.
Identify, recommend and implement project management best practices.
Drive logistics content, devising out-of-the-box solutions to do things radically smarter.
Ensure solution embedment, translating concepts to reality and making them an operational success.
Facilitate change management - preparing, supporting and helping individuals and teams to make changes happen.
PROJECT PLANNING, EXECUTION AND CONTROL
Define project objectives and scope utilizing expert knowledge of project management practices and procedures.
Establish teams and structure approach to complex projects - leading project teams to analyze problems and propose solutions
Develop Integrated Project Plan for projects with the highest cost and risk.
Lead the execution of projects with the highest cost and risk.
Utilize the project management framework to achieve project objectives of delivered on time, on budget and business results are realized for projects with the highest cost and risk.
Regularly measure and monitor project progress to identify variances from the plan and make needed corrections for projects with the highest cost and risk.
Contain and resolve issues within the project that do not require Project Sponsor attention.
Ensure successful completion of all project phases and closure of all aspects of the project.
Responsible for portfolio management if managing more than one project.
Bachelor’s degree and PMP certification or Master’s Degree.
Fluent in English
At least 5 years of experience managing complex supply chain projects.
In-depth inbound-outbound logistics knowledge.
Experience in analyzing large amounts of data and developing complex tools.
Deep understanding and application of principles, concepts, industry practices, and standards around continuous business process improvements and portfolio / project management.
Deep understanding of organizational change management.
Demonstrated ability to lead a cross-functional team of individuals by demonstrating people management skills in the areas of coaching, feedback and development.
Expert in managing multiple concurrent improvement projects while understanding and successfully solving business problems in a customer-focused, consensus-driven environment.
Energy and enthusiasm to develop role and own capabilities
Pursue and re-enforce collaboration capable, emotionally intelligent, ability to influence at multiple levels, and work in a team.
Good communication & presentation skills (both written and verbal).
Resilient, not deterred by setbacks or negativity

Complete understanding and application of principles, concepts, industry practices, and standards around project management and ERP / business systems, and a broad exposure to the value chains in agro-industry.
