YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of your position"
As a lab coordinator,you will be leading a team of lab technicians and supervise Molecular testing activities in our laboratory in Bergschenhoek.
The overallresponsibility is managing your team and securing our data defensibility. Youwill work in close collaboration with the other Lab Coordinators, stakeholderinterface and compliance.
You will report the lab performance to your directmanagement and propose improvement opportunities.
You will be joining ateam that is at present three person strong. We will be looking for an optimalteam composition to ensure customer satisfaction and future developments.

Your main tasks
Coordinates the Bergschenhoek Molecular Identification Team fromall people development aspects. Leads and develops a strength based andinclusive Team of Lab Technicians, promoting skills development using theavailable training programs.
Secure a safe, compliant and positive work environmentwhich is compliant with all HSE, Business Conduct and HR.
Interacts to maximize testing activities byconsidering demand, lab constraints and customer expectations.
Define, recruit and onboard adequate people resourcesto test the expected volume within our customers expectation.
Identifies, understands and resolves issues.
Triggers continuous improvement.
Produce communication material to engage, educate andempower team members and stakeholders
WHO YOU ARE
You are ambitious and havea customer-minded attitude. You can keep your head cool, define your prioritiesand keep track of all ongoing matters.
Bachelor in Life Sciences or related field or equal byexperience
At least 5 years of relevant work experiencepreferably in a lab- and / or product supply environment
Domain knowledge : Quality organization and processes,customer centric mindset, demonstrates care and concern for stakeholders andteam, proactive in continuous improvement, agile to work in cross functionalenvironment and cooperatively with others, results oriented and cost conscious
QMS and HSE : Apply standard operation procedure,ISO / ISTA and HSE rules to all sample flow in the lab providing the rightresults at the first time, insure results availability in SAP on time
Soft skills : Strong relationship and networkingskills. Excellent communication : English, written and verbal. Take ownershipsof your tasks and will inform the senior level in case something goes wrong
Technical skills : Molecular Identification knowledge and mastery insample management tools. Experience with SAP and Microsoft Office applications
