The opportunity

Within the Global Business Line Merchant Services, the Financial Security Compliance Officer will operate in an international environment and work closely with various teams in the organization.

Worldline NV / SA is a regulated payment institution under the supervision of the National Bank of Belgium (NBB) operating in the Netherlands via the presence of a local branch.

The Compliance Officer will be responsible for the compliance activities of the branch and the relationship with the DNB.

Your day-to-day responsibilities include

You work with the Senior Data Protection Officer (Snr. DPO) / Head of Data Protection Worldline Merchant Services and global business units to ensure both existing and new products / services comply with the relevant privacy obligations.

You assess the business’s future ventures to identify possible data protection compliance risks.

You revise, adapt and improve processes, evaluate the efficiency of controls and improve them continuously.

You develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of GDPR regulations, assess and proceed to investigations of potential inappropriate rules or procedures.

You assist in the maintenance of a process for receiving, documenting, tracking, investigating and acting on all requests / complaints concerning the organization’s privacy policies and procedures.

You provide guidance, advice and act as visionary towards the business regarding compliance by design and strive for the implementation of best practices and methodologies across critical areas of the business.

You collaborate with the DPOs to monitor enforcement of standards and regulations.

You maintain the Register of Processing Activities (RoPA) and ensure that it is up-to-date, accurate and complete.

You handle Data Subject Requests in accordance with set proceedures and within the specified timeline.

You participate in the performance of Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs), Legitimate Interests Assessments (LIAs) and Transfer Impact Assessments (TIAs) to determine mitigating measures relevant to the risk level.

You support in the development and provision of regular data protection-related training of regulations and company procedure updates to staff.

Provide advice and / or training (internal training) to the business and to the Board of Directors.

You support the Snr. DPO in her day-to-day tasks and assist other DPOs in ensuring that data protection practices are streamlined across MS.

As Privacy Analyst, you are familiar with legal guidelines and corporate governance best practices. He / she will operate locally while in an international environment and work closely with various teams in the organization (Risk, Compliance, Legal, Sales).

Skills we can't do without :

Master’s in law or equivalent level.

Minimum 1-3 years of experience in privacy and data protection compliance.

Knowledge of the payment industry is a plus.

Excellent analytical skills with an eye for detail.

Affinity with IT and IT-related projects and ecommerce.

Excellent communication and presentation skills in English, both verbally and written

Results driven and persistent.

Multicultural mindset and flexibility, able to work in an international environment.

Preferably experience in an e-commerce, bank or payment industry environment.

Skills we'd like :

Team player while able to work autonomously.

Ability to think out of the box.
