The Tommy Hilfiger Womenswear division is one of the main business drivers within Tommy Hilfiger Europe. Based in the Amsterdam European head office the team is split into 4 sub teams : Design, Production and Sourcing & Development, Buying and Planning and Merchandising and Sales

These 4 teams work together in an informal setting on creating superbly styled and high-end quality products for the European consumer base.

Tommy Hilfiger Womenswear presents 4 collections per year - 4 seasons (Spring , Summer , Fall and Winter)


The fabric manager is responsible for the research, development, and production across a balanced interesting and exciting fabric offer that is commercial, customer focused and on brand across TH Womenswear & TH Collection.

  • End to end development of all woven (non denim) fabrics in TH Womenswear & TH Collection
  • Responsible for the woven fabric sourcing in Asia, TR, and Europe.
  • Talented people manager, committed to developing your direct report to ensure that targets are met and individuals feel motivated.
  • In daily contact with mills, fabric suppliers and fabric agents for all fabric research and follow up; internally with design and development as well as off shore offices
  • Propose seasonal fabric presentation of trends
  • Research for new Fabric / Washes and Treatments
  • Good understanding of price target results of fabrics and bring solutions to the table
  • Establish a core fabric base to reach margin / price target
  • Drive the process of treatments and finishes on existing fabrics
  • Set up fabric archive and keep up-to-date during all seasons
  • Guide assistant for follow up of handlooms, lap dips and fabric approvals, test reports, Coteco
  • Reporting to the Sourcing & Production Senior Director
  • Work closely with concept, design and development as well as off shore offices and external mills and vendors

  • Extensive knowledge, Minimum 7 years’ experience in fabric R&D, and fabric production
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience managing a fabric team
  • Strong product eye
  • Completely up to speed on fabric trends that are appropriate to our brand as well as competitor activity
  • We’re looking for someone who knows how to build a credible, commercial and exciting offer, build strong relationships internally and externally and have sound technical knowledge.
  • Good communication & organizational skills
  • Experience and contacts across both European and Far East mills
  • Knowledge of finishes and treatments
  • Flexible and hands on mentality
  • Fluent in English a must
  • Italian preferred
