You take care of realizing and maintaining certifications and permits. You will be responsible for health and safety, the quality system, the customer quality experience and continuous improvement.
Translates the policy of the organization into a department policy, sets short and long term targets and prioritizes the activities of the department.
Guards the quality of the QHSE department and manages the processes and procedures at the department.
Provides (un-)solicited counsel and recommendations regarding QHSE topics across the company.
Observes trends and developments in the discipline and applicable regulations and translates those in proposals for improvement.
Interpretes requirements from standards in the area of quality, environment and safety and explains their applicability to the different departments.
Actively supports the line managers of the different departments with implementation of the standards.
Monitors and controls the execution of QHSE procedures within the company. Creates an internal audit plan and executes the plan.
Evaluates internal audits with the managers, creates the resulting reports and monitors the implementation of audit findings.
Guides and facilitates external audits (certifying bodies and customers) and monitors the implementation of audit findings.
Is responsible for arranging, maintaining and timely extension of permits and certifications.
Maintains contact with (supplier quality departments of) customers, proactively takes care of customer complaints and visits customers in case of quality issues.
Ensures that industry standard expectations on execution speed and content are exceeded.
Is responsible for initiating, controlling and reporting on continuous improvements projects in the company. Drives a culture of continuous improvement in the company.
Maintains access to customer portals and makes the supplier performance data available to the company.
Is responsible for the quality management system, including compliance to system level standards, the QHSE manual and customer specific requirements at system level.
Keeps the quality system up to date.
Is responsible for the release process at customers (e.g. PPAP submission or new products). Ensure timely submission of all required release documentation.

What do we ask of you as a QHSE manager?
Education : Bachelor or master in a technical discipline.
Trained in and experience with internal auditing for ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, ADR, ATEX and ISO 45001
Proactive personality. Able to work in a fast changing environment.
Lean six sigma Black Belt
Solid experience in the application of automotive core tools (IATF 16949)
Solid experience in (local) environmental regulations (examples are Wet Milieubeheer, Activiteitenbesluit, Omgevingsvergunning and Arbeidsomstandigheden Wet)
Experience as a line manager, ability to lead a global team.
Able to maintain professional contacts with customers, certifying and governmental bodies.
Strong communication skills.
