What you’ll be doing
The Agile Delivery Manager facilitatestechnology and product teams in achieving their goals. This extends fromdefining and evolving roadmaps through ongoing execution within a clearlydefined and well understood lean delivery system.
They collaborate with teamsas needed to identify, escalate and resolve impediments to success for teams,product and organisation.
This position serves as a subject matterexpert and facilitator across teams, providing support and direction ondelivery plans, communication and cross-team collaboration.
The challenge :
Facilitates Product levellean delivery system, its events, artefacts and metrics (including effectivecross product delivery visibility and communication).
Becomea trusted and valued partner of the management team : SVP, VP and Sr. Director andgain the confidence of our business stakeholders.
Facilitates Product levelimpediment and blocker escalation model.
Facilitate Product levelrisk identification and management.
Empower the staff to beaccountable and responsible for their own actions and decisions.
Manage,coach and motivate employees and team-leads.
Identify and makerecommendations for improvement to existing delivery processes and procedures.
Serve as acknowledged goto person with regards to delivery processes and procedures.
Support the traceabilityof work within squads up to Epics / Themes / Goals.
Ownership of enterpriseagile tooling, including user training and usage governance.
Be a champion for ChangeManagement.
Works closely withElsevier wide Agile facilitation community to continually improve the processand Product level delivery system.
You will bring :
MA / BAdegree, preferably in a technical subject.
5 ormore years of hands on experience in a key role in an agile SDLC, as DeliveryManager, IT Project Manager, Test Manager, Application Development Manager.
Digital Native. Provenexpertise in the software engineering domain.
Experience in working inan international environment.
Knowledge of CI / CDconcepts.
Background in softwareengineering with a clear understanding of basic engineering principles is anice to have.
Experience inimplementation of continuous improvement methodology (SVPG, Lean, Six Sigma) isa nice to have.
Ability to work acrossfunctional and business unit lines and develop and maintain a culture ofpartnership with the Group project and product managers and between all partsof the organization.
Scrum Master certificationpreferred.
Experienceworking with geographically dispersed teams, onshore, offshore and nearshore.
Solidunderstanding of the practical application of agile development methods andleading software development teams in an Agile / Lean environment.
Experience coordinatingteam work flow in a fast-paced environment that is predominantly results drivenbut occasionally has to meet to strict deadlines.
A results-oriented andteam metrics outlook with the ability to prioritize and deliver key initiativesto achieve shared goals
Exemplary communicationand interpersonal skills (verbal, written, presentation, meeting management,and documentation).
Ability to partner andcollaborate with other stakeholders to resolve issues and to mitigate impacts.
Highly adaptable tochanging needs within the organization with a professional, flexible and pragmaticresponse to rapidly evolving priorities.
Strongorganization / planning, time management, and change management skills acrossmultiple functional groups and departments.
Advanced risk anddependency identification and mitigation expertise including coaching anddelegation of ongoing management down into team.
