We are specifically responsible for the IKEA strategic framework, ensuring the IKEA Concept is updated, relevant, implemented and followed-up together with all IKEA trademark users.

    Read more about us at : franchisor.IKEA.comAbout the roleConsumer & Market Performance is one of 4 core insight capability areas within Consumer & Market Insights, focussed on offering ongoing insight into IKEA performance through the eyes of the consumers.

    This consumer insight domain is also called Hindsight’ in IKEA. Historically this is primarily delivered through tracker-type researches, but there are increasing opportunities to leverage other types of data for better hindsight.

    Hindsight solutions are at the core of strategic and operational decision making, inspiring and enabling IKEA people globally to make well founded decisions.

    The Hindsight Capability leader is responsible for putting the preconditions in place for the insights community to develop best-in-class and fit-for IKEA hindsight solutions.

    The role will be instrumental in establishing a new era of hindsight tools in which surveys are connected with various internal and external data sources to enable real-time data analytics and consumer insights.

    You will work with different teams that develop and operate hindsight solutions, securing common standards and best practice methodologies to optimize for getting more timely and actionable insights from across the solutions.

    In this role you will support IKEA by leading the Hindsight leader assignment. More specifically you will;- Take a holistic responsibility on developing the Hindsight capability at IKEA- Establish and advocate thought leadership in Hindsight among networks of specialists and analysts throughout IKEA- Lead the delivery of common frameworks and methods for teams that develop and operate hindsight solutions to work with, securing a common methodological basis for Hindsight.

  • Enable insight specialists and communities of experts to work with best in class hindsight methodologies- Keep an updated preferred partners / supplier list for Hindsight- Co-lead foundational hindsight initiatives.
  • In particular in the near term initiatives on how we track performance of the IKEA brand, product range and pricing- Secure that stakeholder’s hindsight needs are thoroughly understood and translated into methodologies that both answer their needs, and are easy to use (analyze and conclude) for the many IKEA co-workers- Guide insight specialists dealing with dilemmas about how to design and optimize hindsight methodologies.

  • Secure a holistic understanding of IKEA consumer & market performance. Responding to stakeholder needs but also pro-actively identifying opportunities to gain better hindsight insights, always representing the consumer reality.
  • Co-create new formats to deliver knowledge and insights (e.g. dashboards, data exploration tools)- Working closely with insight competence specialist to ensure competence needed for the best use of insights is secured.
  • Attending relevant forums / meetings, supporting to create a culture of insight across IKEA organizations.- Leading and working closely together with peers across the totality of Core Business Franchise and across IKEAAbout youYou are a down-to-earth team player who is driven by togetherness, simplicity and common sense and eager to take initiatives and achieve results together with others.

    We also believe you will need to have a combination of the following knowledge, capabilities and motivation : - Education and experience : o A Master of Science degree in the fields of Statistics, Engineering, Econometrics, Economics or similaro A minimum 10 years of work experience from a business environment with a minimum of 6 years with working intensely on consumer and market performance measurement projects / capabilities.

    o Relevant research experience with methods and tools to gain insights from1. Quantitative longitudinal surveys2. Internal data on customer interactions(e.

    g. web analytics, sales)3. External consumer data (e.g. social media)o Experience from working in a culturally diverse and complex multinational work environment.

  • o Experience working in an agile environment, ideally in the area of insight.- Ability to design and optimise hindsight processes and methods independently, directly contributing in product teams rather than relying on external subject matter expertise- You know how to use technology and data as a business enabler, having strong expertise in the area of data analytics and quantitative analytics, preferably using modern technologies;
  • work experience in cloud based environments is a pro- Capability to build trustful relationships with stakeholders, business partners and franchisees.

  • Ability to develop and spread thought leadership in a chapter of specialists. Enjoy developing IKEA by building relationships, partnerships and networks.
  • Ability to lead in the unknown and find new solutions in a changing environment- An agile team player : adaptable, flexible, cooperative, independent and curious & open minded- A passion for hindsight and working with data, insight, and knowledge;
