About the Opportunity

Sanofi Genzyme is currently recruiting for a Project Manager Medical Affairs Rare Diseases within Medical Affairs EU. This position is based at the Sanofi Genzyme European Pivotin Naarden, which will move to Amsterdam at the end of 2018.

About Sanofi Genzyme Medical Affairs EU

Medical Affairs EU is responsible for :

  • Collecting insights from all healthcare stakeholders (e.g. KOLs, payers, and competent authorities);
  • Generating data supplementary to the data generated by the clinical development plan. This data is either needed in support of local market access, or to generate leads for further management of the Product Life Cycle (PLC);
  • Conducting and overseeing training and education events for internal and external stakeholders;
  • Disseminating data on our products and therapeutic areas within the broader framework of comprehensive value propositions for all the stakeholders in the healthcare arena.
  • The main responsibilities of the Associate Medical Affairs Director EU Rare Diseases include :

    The Project Manager will be responsible for implementing and / or supporting projects relating to Rare Diseases in collaboration with the Medical Directors.

    This includes undertaking ad hoc projects for the department and being responsible for collecting departmental metrics and developing / coordinating continuous improvement projects / process reviews accordingly :

  • Manages and / or supports the management of a range of medical and marketing projects from design through to delivery (e.
  • g. studies, training, meetings, advisory boards);
  • Responsible for executing projects on time, within scope, and according to plan within the requested quality specifications;
  • Coordinates and provides input to the standards by which projects are : assessed before being initiated, monitored during the implementation phase(s) and reviewed following project closure;
  • Supports the delivery of programs in line with these standards;
  • Develops and delivers project improvement activities, using best practices and knowledge of internal or external business practices to improve project processes;
  • Is responsible for arranging the practical and logistical aspects of projects (e.g. contracts, etc.).
  • The criteria for the Associate Medical Affairs Director EU Rare Diseases are :

  • BSc or MSc in the field of Life Sciences preferred;
  • Project management qualification is required;
  • At least 5 years of experience as a project manager, preferably in a clinical / pharmaceutical environment;
  • Broad understanding of the pharmaceutical regulated environment and functions;
  • Fluent in English, both written and oral; additional languages are an advantage;
  • Has an analytical and problem solving mindset, balanced with a pragmatic, problem solving approach;
  • Works very well with others : is inclusive, collaborative and an excellent negotiator;
  • Is flexible, open minded, proactive and approachable;
  • Is able to lead and organize others without having direct authority.
