The software department of the Application Engineering cluster is responsible for the software development in Combat Management and Radar-
and Optical sensors for worldwide navies- and defense systems.
The work is performed in multi-disciplinary agile teams with specialists in software / system / test engineering and functional design.
About the assignment
The Combat Management System TACTICOS is developed at Thales in Hengelo and is designed to support an operator with the execution of his mission critical tasks.
A clear and intuitive Human Machine Interface (HMI) is therefore very important. Modern hardware is equipped with HiDPI (4k) screens and in order to prevent small text sizes and barely visible contents, the HMI must scale based in the DPI settings in the operating system.
Your assignment is to update the current look-and-feel, so it gets full support for HiDPI screens, which makes it easier to create scalable HMI’s.
The current HMI should then be adapted so it uses this new look-and-feel and behaves correctly with different screen sizes.
