At Amgen Breda, The Netherlands, we focus on the packaging and distribution part of the drugs we have developed which are produced at our international sites.

The packaging and distribution is supported by the Operations, Customer Service and Demand, Information Systems and Quality departments.

The site also supports a sales organization.

Process Development, Operations and Quality (POQ) are the core divisions of Amgen that make sure the drugs are delivered to our patients.

Made up of seven functions and spread across seven sites, POQ's aspiration is simple : Supply every patient, every time!

Within Operations and Global Supply Chain, External Supply Planning and Delivery manages the Plan-To-Stock and Order-To-Cash business processes in support of supplying Amgen’s markets with medicines sourced from Contract Manufacturing Sites.

Within Manufacturing and External Supply, Amgen Contract Manufacturing orchestrates EU Contract Manufacturing Sites to meet the operational and supply requirements for multiple clinical and commercial programs.

The Supply Chain Manager, External Supply Planning and Delivery , is responsible for :

  • Direct support to Amgen’s Integrated Business Processes at the site level, including ownership of Plan-To Stock and Order-
  • To-Cash processes and hand-off business process to contract manufacturers;
  • End-to-end financial flow, including placing Purchase Orders and revising invoices;
  • Closely collaborating with the ACM site team and contract manufacturer, including order management, issue resolution and tactical distribution responsibilities;
  • Negotiating supply chain specific contract terms with internal and external customers;
  • Ensuring that required Operating Standards are implemented and sustained at managed sites;
  • Effectively engaging key partners within supply chain, quality, finance, process development, operations and other functional areas as needed;
  • Developing and / or delivering reports, presentations and / or recommendations to executive audiences;
  • Serving as a Supply Chain resource and / or representative for special projects and initiatives;
  • Working under minimal supervision in line with Amgen Values and Leadership Attributes.
  • Qualifications :

  • Bachelor or / and Master’s degree and 2-4 years of experience in Manufacturing, Supply Chain or Engineering.
  • Significant experience in regulated manufacturing or supply chain setting.
  • Demonstrated experience in a continuous improvement role utilizing tools, methodologies and change management (i.e. Lean, Six Sigma).
  • Demonstrated experience in forming-leading-facilitating-inspiring teams.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively engage diverse, global stakeholder groups and manage projects with multiple, cross-
  • functional deliverables.

  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with external parties and contract development experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in SAP and RapidResponse ERP environments.
  • Demonstrated strong analytical skills, business acumen and risk management.
