The Delivery and Demand organisation (DDM) provides the governance and delivery of programs and projects as a service across the Liberty Global organisation.

As part of this organisation, this role :

Manage assigned projects from approval through initial impact assessment

Track and report on projects / programs, including project financials and resourcing, weekly status reporting, key partners' communication / management support, crafting and communicating management presentations

Project Management

Run one or more projects across multiple domains

Manage assigned projects from approval through initial impact assessment

Handle sponsor groups up to VP level (accurate and timely reporting of project status, issues / risks / mitigation actions, resource and financials monitoring)

Delivery Management (for one or more large projects)

Act as delivery manager for assigned projects within the assigned domain(s)

Project management, resource management tracking and reporting

  • Vendor Management - creates and handles demand towards our strategic delivery Partners for IT, Technology;
  • Operate and align with Liberty Global’s governance processes

    Completion of results required for each Phase

    Manage Change requests including impact on time, budget, and quality

    Timely updates of status, changes and other data on to the systems used for reporting and tracking

    Make use of our Demand boards to formalize demand to our technical functions.

    Relationship Management

  • Create and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders within project domain up to VP level;
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key stakeholders, including : VP’s of the product areas in the relevant domain;
  • VP’s of the technical teams that staff programs; Senior members of country management teams; Liberty Global Senior Management;
  • Vendors, on an operational level

    Knowledge & Experience

    Preferred education / qualifications :

    Preferred certification from a recognized professional body e.g. APM, PMI, IPMA

    Knowledge & Experience :

    It is likely that successful candidates for this role will have 5+ years of experience in delivery of technical products in the telecommunications, cable, and / or media industries

    A deep understanding and first-hand experience of traditional waterfall and agile project management methodologies e.g. PRINCE2, Scrum

    Domain skills : this role requires knowledge of the operating models and solution components used in the major markets of the telco / media / cable industry globally

    Skills & Abilities :

    Delivery Management skills. Comprehensive and strong skills in project and program management.

    Ability to keep teams passionate about delivery outcomes to meet deadlines with quality

    Strong commercial skills and experience to develop and challenge costs and benefits in business cases

    Self-motivated and proactive in the working environment

    Demonstrates the gravitas and courage needed to build relationships and convey authority in order to resolve conflicts and maintain direction

    Resource management, financial management, and budget management

    Good problem solving skills and be able to think quickly and adept about how to address problems as they come up and to learn from the issues so that the same problem do not arise again.

    Can adapt communication & influencing style to different situations, audiences and cultures.

    At ease and effective in operating in an international working environment

    Fluent English speaker, ideally with other European languages

    Effective written and verbal communication skills are needed
