Off the back of exciting project wins in our rail sector nationally, we are looking for seasoned Traction Power and Overhead Line / Overhead Wiring Engineers with extensive experience in the rail industry to join our team in either Melbourne or Sydney.
Your role will include : Managing, liaising and interfacing with our major clients, joint venture partners, contractors and other stakeholders Assessing client needs and contributing to tenders Leading, developing, coaching and mentoring project teams Identifying and managing risks associated with the design delivery of power traction systems, OLE / OHW and ensuring a risk-based approach is adhered to and mitigations undertaken Providing technical advice and support to project teams in a multi-disciplinary, complex project environment Qualifications Who are we looking for?
First and foremost, you share our passion for improving the quality of life and embrace challenges of working to build and extend complex major rail infrastructure.
You are a tertiary qualified electrical engineer with extensive experience in rail projects and come to us with : A flair for engaging with clients and stakeholders at all levels Railway power design, substation construction and electrified rail transit systems (predominantly DC systems) Experience with distribution substation, traction substation, earthing and bonding, Lightning protection, electrolysis.
Experience in the design of different OHW systems, such as 25kV AC and 1500V DC Heavy Rail. Experience in design management, checking and verification MTM competencies (Are essential if preference is Melbourne) and AEO competencies (For Sydney Role) will be highly regarded.
