CONTEXT

Manages overall site procurement and supports related operations, communication and reporting for the site. Oversees Ariba operations and management.

ORGANISATIONAL POSITION

The Site Procurement Lead (SPL) is a line function in the department Supply Chain and reports to the Supply Chain Manager

Essential Functions :

1. Procurement Team and Functional Management

  • Collaborates with BU Leads and CoEs on global and strategic sourcing for both site level and BU-level (SSMF)
  • Ensures sourcing methodology adhered to by team across all categories in collaboration with BU Leads and CoEs
  • Ensures material planning and forecasting are completed with sufficient quality and communicated to suppliers
  • Oversees overall vendor management for site (quality, delivery and commercial)
  • Responsible for performance management of procurement team at site
  • 2. Communications and Site Functional Advocate

  • Establishes working relationship with functional stakeholders, business unit and corporate procurement to ensure delivery of procurement services
  • 3. Pipeline Management and Financials

  • Delivers operating cost savings to meet annual targets PPV, value capture, budget process, Savings and value capture opportunity identification
  • Monitors metrics to assess performance team and drive continuous improvement
  • Oversees and manages supplier and financial reporting
  • 4. Continuous Improvement

  • Identifies opportunities to optimize the procurement process, including technology, people, and policy
  • Supports operational excellence projects, that effects procurement
  • 5. Ariba Super User (Upstream, SIPM)

  • Drives site adoption and onboarding resources into Ariba system
  • Supports and oversees training of new users
  • Analyzes metrics and reports from system to identify issues and opportunities
  • 6. Managerial Function

  • Selects, develops and evaluates staff to ensure the efficient operation of the function. Works with and advises staff on administrative policies and procedures.
  • INCONVENIENTS

  • Will be traveling to suppliers, global meetings and exhibitions every now and then.

    KNOWLEGDE AND EXPERIENCE

  • College / Technical School diploma in Business or related discipline, HBO-diploma;
  • Preferably NEVI 1 & 2
  • 3 to 5 years previous materials management experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge and experience with lean concepts and process improvements
  • Knowledge of specification and the preparations thereof according to GMP (FDA is optional);
  • Experience with ERP (an asset)
