The role

We are looking for a digital marketing executive with 3 to 5 years of experience who is passionate about reaching B2B technology audiences online.

You will work with the rest of the UK and global marketing teams, to assist in the planning, execution and optimisation of our online marketing efforts.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for all things marketing and technology. You will be well-versed in the concepts surrounding digital marketing and how we can use it at every stage of the marketing funnel to build a pipeline of leads and broaden brand awareness.

You will be tech-savvy and analytical with great ideas to reinforce our marketing campaigns.

Responsibilities

Social media : organic and paid

  • Plan, monitor, manage and report on our social media channels including LinkedIn, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram both for general brand awareness and to support specific campaigns
  • Create organic content for these channels and take responsibility for the sharing of relevant global content
  • Work with campaign owners / marketing managers to create content for paid for campaigns
  • Create, manage and report back on paid for campaigns, with effective testing and optimisation to ensure ad spend achieves the best return on investment
  • Proactively suggest, implement and manage ways to increase engagement and following
  • Email Marketing

  • Working with the marketing managers who will provide the content, be responsible for the weekly, monthly and ad hoc newsletters, including set up, sending and tracking of open / click rates in Marketo and sharing potential leads with sales
  • Create email nurture flows to support campaigns and track the effectiveness of these
  • Monitor the health of email marketing lists and come up with creative ways to encourage newsletter sign up while ensuring GDPR compliance
  • Website

  • While the website is managed by the global team, this role would be responsible for critically assessing the pages on the UK website, creating campaign banners, campaign landing pages, updating local blog or news pages, set up of local webinar / event pages or UK-specific content pages
  • Track, assess and interpret website traffic in Google analytics, providing recommendations for improvement
  • SEO / SEM

  • Working with the global team, ensure that the UK web pages are search engine optimised
  • Working with the marketing managers, set up the online elements of specific marketing campaigns including digital advertising / pay per click campaigns, monitoring and optimising spend
  • Measure performance of digital marketing efforts using a variety of Web analytics tools (Google Analytics.)
  • Data-Driven Marketing

  • Assist in the formulation of strategies to build a lasting digital connection with customers, working with our CRM platform ONESales (Microsoft Dynamics)
  • Assist in the tracking of leads, reporting on marketing campaign success and ensuring relevant leads are flagged to sales and followed up by them
  • Become the local CRM champion to ensure best practice as outlined by the global team
  • General

  • Acquire insight in online marketing trends and keep strategies up-to-date including emerging social channels and owned / paid digital outlets that we are not yet exploiting
  • Maintain partnerships with media agencies and vendors when relevant
  • What we need to see from you

  • Three to five years B2B digital marketing experience in technology solutions or enterprise software sectors in house or agency
  • Excellent understanding of digital marketing concepts and best practices
  • Very experienced with B2B social media primarily LinkedIn & Twitter, Facebook and Instagram to a lesser extent particularly paid for campaigns and how to optimise them
  • Google Adwords and SEO / SEM experience
  • Confident email marketer ideally with experience using Marketo
  • Experience with web analytics tools (Google Analytics)
  • Experience with CRM systems, ideally Microsoft Dynamics
  • Good writing skills for digital marketing
  • A highly analytical approach - strategic thinker who values data and metrics and thrives in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • An organised self-starter, with a sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on company’s success
  • Ability to multi-task, with excellent time management skills
  • A team player
  • BSc / BA in marketing or relevant digital marketing qualification with proven experience
