You are responsible for

  • Providing technical leadership and ownership of integration related activities within research projects and being responsible for the integration component.
  • Performing integration analysis for novel solutions and convert requirements into interface specifications.
  • Designing, developing and implementing solutions integrating research prototypes with Philips and / or 3rd party health systems to meet agreed project requirements (specs, budget, time frame, quality).
  • Configuring, installing and testing the integration capabilities according to the quality standards and integrate prototypes in the customer’s IT environment at pilot sites for the duration of research studies.
  • Designing characteristics and capabilities of applied Philips & 3rd party integrations.
  • Testing and validating solutions and components to continuously improve the product, solution and project deliverables.
  • Keeping abreast of technical and clinical developments in own field through outside-in scouting, key contacts, and study of relevant literature.
  • You are a part of the Clinical Data Management team in the Hospital Services & Informatics department at Philips Research .

    The Hospital Services & Informatics department combines deep multidisciplinary expertise to drive technical, clinical and business model innovation.

    Deep understanding of unmet clinical needs and of the evolving Healthcare systems provide the basis for such innovation.

    Products, software and services are combined into broader solutions spanning across multiple stages of the care continuum.

    Prototypes are developed and evaluated together with clinical collaborators in an agile approach. Tight collaboration with other R&D departments, local markets, and Philips Connected Cared (CC) and Precision Diagnosis (PD) business clusters ensures translation into commercial offerings and an economy of scale.

    You will be based at Philips Research Eindhoven, The Netherlands, and report directly to the Team Lead Clinical Data Management.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Academic degree in IT, Informatics, technical field, or a related field; preferably have 5+ years of experience in IT.
  • Extensive experience in healthcare is an advantage, but experience gained in other sectors can also be a welcome addition to us.

  • Knowledge and integration experience using Healthcare IT standards including HL7, DICOM, IHE and / or FHIR.
  • Development of integration components (Javascript, PL / SQL developer, Web interfaces, XML, Soap, etc.)
  • Experience with an Interface / Integration engine is required, experience with Lyniate Rhapsody is highly desirable.
  • Experience with working in multidisciplinary project teams
  • Experience in explaining complicated issues to a non-technical audience with your storytelling
  • Research and innovation mentality.
