Laborie Medical Technologies is currently searching for a HR Generalist to join our International Team in Europe and APAC.

Position Overview

Working as a part of the Global Human Resources Team, the HR Generalist will be responsible for working on the development, implementation and administration of all aspects of HR, including payroll, employee relations, compensation, benefits, compliance, talent acquisition and HRIS.

Reporting to the head of HR in Europe and International with a scope across Europe and Laborie operations internationally, this role requires someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment that is fast-paced and results oriented.

The countries you will focus on are The Netherlands, Belgium, France, UK, Germany, Austria and Switzerland. You will also support China and APAC.

Recruitments :

  • Leads Recruitment process and guides Managers through the hiring process; Build and maintain pipelines of qualified candidates to deliver against immediate priorities, future needs, and business critical positions that are routinely filled throughout the year.
  • Manage the onboarding process for new hires in Europe.
  • HR Operations, Payroll and data management :

  • Ensuring changes to the employees’ profiles are properly reported and submitted to payroll for all countries in Europe (7 countries)
  • Assuring compliance with country regulations concerning all aspects of employment (vacation, overtime pay, employee benefit eligibility, health & safety due process, payroll processed, etc.)
  • Handling terminations and manage the employee exit process.
  • Maintaining employee data in compliance with GDPR standards, updating the HRIS database BambooHR.
  • Follow up on sick leave and reintegration process in the Netherlands
  • Employee relations and talent management

  • Provide guidance and advice to managers regarding employment related matters, such as interpretation of company policies and procedures, performance management, annual compensation review process and benefits administration.
  • Managing complex employee relations issues
  • Coordinate and provide support for the performance appraisal process and subsequent compensation review
  • Provide support to the global HR team as required
  • Other HR related projects

  • Managing benefits plans; Absence and leave management : administering employees’ leave and attendance.
  • Ad hoc communication input, corporate intranet, Employee guidebook updates, letters for employees and corporate e-mail communications / updates
  • Support, and sometimes lead in the implementation of various HR initiatives, projects, and programs.
  • Qualifications

    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources Management, Labor Relations or related field

  • 5+ years’ experience in an HR Advisor / Generalist role; with previous international experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the Dutch market as well as other EU country employment law and legislation
  • Exceptional communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Practical decision-making ability in complex situations; ability to work independently and maintain professionalism in all situations
  • Positive attitude, resilient with the ability to produce high quality results in a fast-paced environment
  • Languages must include : fluency in written and spoken English and Dutch.
  • German and / or French are a strong plus.
