As a leading manufacturer of vascular grafts, endovascular and interventional devices, surgical meshes for hernia repair, and sutures, we are looking for a Tooling Maintenance / Metrology Associate to join our team in Flagstaff, Arizona.

Responsibilities include :
Performing and documenting tooling repair, such as; straightening, polishing, sanding, welding, and silicone coating of tooling
Pinning new and reworked stent winding mandrels
Maintaining tooling inventory
Inspect tooling to meet manufacturing specifications while following approved standard operating procedures.
Write standard operating procedures as needed.
Light machining : Electric displacement machining / drilling, lathe work, mill work, and the use of miscellaneous shop equipment
Working with multiple teams across the division including production, skilled trades, and technical associates with the dual purpose of maximizing schedule efficiency and minimizing impact to manufacturing
Ensuring applicable Quality System requirements are being met
Ordering materials or services and working with outside vendors
Maintaining certifications for all materials and services used
Identifying materials, parts, equipment, and time line required to complete jobs
Maintaining technical knowledge of industry standards for Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing.
Qualifications Required Job Qualifications :
A two-year technical degree and two years’ shop experience with machine shops or metrology OR five years’ experience working in metrology, machine shop, or a combination of metrology and machine shop experience
Experience working with word processing and spreadsheet applications
Experience working with an order management system or maintenance database
Proficiency with :
Calipers, micrometers, various inspection tools, and optical measuring devices
Experience reading mechanical drawings
Programming and operation of coordinate measuring machine such as, video measurement systems
Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing
Knowledgeable of machine shop practices
Work independently and within a team environment
Attention to detail and ability to multi-task under pressure
Effective oral & written communication skills
Willing and able to lift 50 lbs.
Available and willing to work weekends and off-hours to meet customer needs
Willing to travel as required
