The position :

Expedia is currently recruiting for an English / French speaking Direct Debit Coordinator to help promote this choice of payment method.

Working alongside the Finance team, the successful individual will be responsible for processes relating to Direct Debit registrations.

  • The key focus of this role is to encourage eligible hotels to complete the direct debit registration process. The ideal candidate will have strong sales skills;
  • including excellent communication, relationship building and a good listener. The right candidate also needs to be a self-

    motivator, naturally outgoing and must understand the art of persuasion during conversation.

    Responsibilities include

  • Overseeing the direct debit registration and collections process
  • Suggesting improvements to the current process
  • Correspond with Market Managers, PAC / GSO team, corporate contacts, and properties on escalated issues
  • Ensure company and departmental policies are followed
  • Manage assigned account base in regard to commission collections, maintain up-to-date contact information for hotels assigned to you
  • Complete special projects as assigned
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • Minimum one year experience in phone sales or similar position
  • Fluency in French and English. Additional language(s) is a plus.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
  • An understanding of the processes relating to Direct Debit registrations and collections is highly desirable
  • Extensive knowledge of basic computer programs including Excel, Word, and Outlook
  • Excellent attention to detail and the highest levels of accuracy
  • Superb problem-solving, analytical and mathematical skills
  • Positive can-do attitude, goal-oriented, and able to work with minimal supervision
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Dependable, flexible, and able to work in a fast paced, changing environment
  • Advantageous to have experience working in Oracle and SalesForce / Sidetrade, MS Office
