As an Internal Communication Senior Specialist at for Accommodations Tech & Product , you will be a part of a team of talented IC specialists and be responsible for for partnering with departmental leadership to create engaging and creative communication plans linked to departmental strategy, objectives and changes."


  • Communication Strategy and Planning Design and manage plans to support delivery of overall communication strategy as well as business as usual (BAU) communication plans.
  • Ensure implementation of internal communication calendar within the Accommodation Business Unit Tech & Product and internal communication plans for the wider businessNetwork and build relationships with key stakeholders within a department to identify communication needs and contribute to the development of departmental / regional strategyEnsure all planning adheres to good practice planning principles (e.

    g. SMART objectives) and to ethical / legislative / brand requirements

  • Advising, Educating and Influencing Forge and develop internal working relationships across functions and levelsProvide feedback, advice and coaching to senior leaders and VPs, constructively challenging as appropriateSupport line managers in becoming effective communicatorsRecommend the appropriate channel for different messages / audiences
  • Creating and Curating Content Generate and implement new ideas for content and fresh formats in line with communication strategyDistill complex issues / ideas into simple, honest and compelling messagingDevelop key messages to support campaigns / projects, ensuring alignment with corporate narrativeProduce briefs, manage the timely delivery of content, and manage relationship(s) with external content / design suppliersEnsure compliance with content standards
  • Channel and Community Management Manage multiple channels and make recommendations regarding appropriate usage and effective targeting of messagesSupport auditing and the creation of channel measurement strategyDevelop and introduce new channels in line with strategy, working with other disciplines as appropriateHost and facilitate business and leadership events under guidance of managerDevelop ideas to encourage conversation and connections across Booking.

  • Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • 5+ years experience working in complex global internal communication programs in a fast-paced, changing environment.
  • Deep understanding of communication strategy, strategic development and project planning.
  • Demonstrable experience creating and delivering effective plans and campaigns.
  • Able to run communication planning at a project level.
  • Strong project management skills, ability to run multiple projects concurrently and prioritize effectively.
  • Experience advising and providing creative communication solutions to senior stakeholders and executive leaders.
  • Actively seeks understanding of others’ challenges and needs with problem solving abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with Journalistic skills : interviewing, writing, copy editing, proofreading
  • Ability to distill complex issues / ideas into simple, honest and compelling communication; avoiding jargon and matching language to the needs of colleagues.
  • Able to deliver succinct talking points and superb written communications for leaders.
  • Strong facilitation skills : face to face and online.
  • Demonstrable success working with social media and community management.
  • Awareness of organisational culture : which channels will work most effectively in different environments and why.
  • Awareness of user trends in technology / opportunities.
  • Detailed understanding of the needs and experiences of the diverse Booking community.
  • Detailed knowledge on the use of inclusive language and able to adapt writing style or channel mix to meet the needs of the diverse Booking community, making sure everyone feels a sense of belonging.
  • Detailed understanding of channel monitoring, campaign evaluation, qualitative / quantitative feedback and survey analysis.
  • Ability to work within an agreed budget.
