The Senior Business Analyst will work closely with business partners, business teams, CBS and 3rd party partners to enable the delivery of process, data, and technology solutions for the Aforce / SAP / MBS Finance solution.
The Sr. BA is an advanced professional in systems & process design who will develop and provide quality and solid system designs and solutions to solve various business requirements.
Candidates for this position are expected to be professionals with substantial knowledge in the implementation space and able to expertly manage medium to high rigor projects or work streams within the projects, through the entire project lifecycle.
This position requires both broad and deep knowledge of the solution(s) and business processes for their assigned Business(es) / FN(s), and the ability to design solutions by mapping customer business problems to reusable end-
to-end business application solutions. The Sr. BA will engage in senior level business decision discussions related to agility, business value, and business processes.
This position requires an individual who is resourceful, confident under pressure, and has demonstrated skill in both proactive project and expectation management.
This position participates and / or leads the implementation of the Finance Solution which supports and enables Cargill’s Finance / RTR Cash Management, Customs & Tax, Cost and Financial accounting processes for business units.
This position will also collaborate and help support finance related activities within the other process areas.
This position is expected to follow the Cargill Project Delivery Process and Application Development Lifecyle Maintenance (ADLM) common processes
Principal Accountabilities :
Be part of a deployment team supporting the deployment from initiation through the go live and post go live activities, including Requirements gathering, training, testing, Cutover and Hypercare, troubleshooting, data validation, and issue resolution.
These activities require knowledge in one or more specialized areas and may require additional research and interpretation to determine issues.
Lead teams (either directly or indirectly) and guide, explain, and clarify solution options and influence business partner decision making to minimize the amount of project investment divergence from target architecture.
Persuade senior internal and external stakeholders to accept new ideas, approaches, and concepts as required within a region.
Provide Guidance and Quality Assurance during requirements and test phases to build perennial system(s) or instances of SAP for multiple business units
Assist with cross-business / function process design efforts
Elicit requirements using interviews, document analysis, requirements workshops, surveys, site visits, business process descriptions, use cases, scenarios, business analysis, task and workflow analysis.
Elicit functional and non-functional (performance, availability, security, accessibility, cross-browser compliance) requirements using a methodology most appropriate for the context of each project, such as Joint Requirements Planning (JRP), Joint Application Development (JAD).
Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, decompose high-level information into details, abstract up from low-
level information to a general understanding, and distinguish user / stakeholder requests from underlying value add needs.
Communicate and clarify the requirements to the design and development resources, by assisting in translating business requirements into functional design specifications
Clarify, update, and improve the business processes impacted by the technology changes that are part of assigned projects.
Evaluate system changes for downstream system and / or organizational impacts
Provide subject matter expertise in multiple business process areas
Give input into solution designs by means of functional requirements across process, data, and technology that meet business requirements
Consider in the functional requirements, the business implications of the application of technology to the current and future business environment.
Perform reviews with key stakeholders throughout the design lifecycle to ensure alignment on solution designs and requirements.
Be the liaison between the business, technology teams and support teams.
Work with the Application Architect to explore solution options to minimize the amount of project investment divergence from target architecture
Create and maintain long-term working relationships with technology teams, functional counterparts, vendors and business partners.
Effectively engages stakeholders in change management activities
Manage workload and priorities to deliver agreed upon project milestones
Lead and mentor less experienced staff
Provide guidance and oversight during requirements, design and test phases.
