The Associate Product Manager will work closely with various groups to translate customer needs into product requirements.
S / he will help implementation and delivery of data science driven shared product capabilities within Research Products which are an integral part of our Elsevier Platform.
S / he will be developing new features and capabilities making use of big data technology and data science by working closely with the data science and data engineer development team(s).
A key aspect of the job is to deliver personalisation features, including recommender technology, across multiple Elsevier products and the Consoles platform.
S / he will work closely with the Scrum of Scrums representative to enable stakeholder management and representation to peers, managers and executives across the company and to external audiences.

Is comfortable with data science technology, big data and using existing software packages and languages (e.g. Excel, R, Python).

Demonstrates an understanding of the customer experience, and the components of a good product.
Writes clear and concise product requirements that meet guidelines in a timely and effective manner.
Recommends and plans use of feature functionality.
Distributes information to stakeholders and collaborators to educate on product issues.

Learns the company technology stack at a high level, for his / her feature area. Preferred knowledge of computer science and / or data science.

Requirements for the role :
0-2+ years in technology Product Management
Education at University degree level in the areas of Technology and / or Science or engineering discipline.
Recognized as co-owner of a product or sizable feature of a complex product.
Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and priorities.
Demonstrated critical thinking skills.
Has knowledge and preferable experience in an Agile Scrum delivery
Understands the company technology stack at a high level
Understands emerging technologies and how they may be applied within the organization.
