ABN AMRO is looking for a junior corporate banker with 1 to 3 years of experience ideally in the segment of corporates with a turnover of €100 million+.

Fluency in Dutch and English is required, with French being a strong plus. Affinity with one or more of the transition themes of ABN AMRO (see above) would be considered a plus as well.

The JR Corporate Officer supports the Head of Corporate Banking and the Coverage Bankers both commercially and administratively within the context of current regulations and legislation.

The emphasis is on building long-term relationships with clients based on trust. The position has a good relationship with the client, has an eye for opportunities and is willing to provide a service that exceeds the client's expectations.

The Corporate Banking team will leverage its passion for the target sectors to prepare client propositions. These form the basis for boardroom discussions that will enable the team to proactively drive the client’s agenda and identify opportunities.

The team will optimise capital allocation, keeping in mind the moderate risk profile of the bank.

The qualified candidate for this position will need to demonstrate the following critical competencies :

Collaboration : Supports the Coverage Bankers in the day-to-day commercial activities, always with the client's interests in mind.

Supports the Coverage Bankers by preparing commercial presentations and pitch books in cooperation with the relevant product departments prior to a customer contact.

Functional knowledge : as demonstrated by a thorough understanding of the corporate banking (and specifically the share of mind) products and execution process know-how;

it is important that the candidate demonstrates an in-depth understanding of the main products to a degree to be in a position to advise clients.

Results orientation : ABN Initiates / carries out, upon agreement, commercial activities that contribute to the profitability of the team's client portfolio.
