We are recruiting for a Field Applications Specialist (FAS) to join our Single Use Technology Division (SUD). As an FAS you will act as a trusted guide to our customers, providing scientific expertise, support and training on portfolio (Fluid Transfer Assemblies, BPCs, Single-Use Bioreactors, Controllers, and Mixer systems).
This role is field-based, within Netherlands. You will be required to travel on a weekly basis within your territory (3 to 4 days per week on average, with some overnights).
When not travelling, you will be able to work from home. We are happy to consider qualified candidates based anywhere in this territory or North of Belgium, providing you live within commuting distance of an international airport.
Please note, due to the ongoing pandemic, travel may be limited when you first start in role.Location / s Netherlands / North of BelgiumThis is a permanent positionThe role & Key responsibilities : * Partner with Sales and Field Application Support Leaders to create a cross functional team to exceed our customers’ requirements and drive improvement* Troubleshoots issues related to workflow, assay, software and / or instrumentation.
Interprets customer needs and identifies resolution pathways that may include technical support, sales, service, R&D, or other internal functions to ensure customer satisfaction.
Ensure understanding of our value offering proposition to drive revenue incremental and grow profitability in Europe!* Contribute to presales activities by* Develops collaborative relationships with key opinion leaders across all use cases to facilitate demand for microarray and preference for Thermo Fisher Scientific solutions* Assist the regional sales team in the development of accounts by giving technical seminars and presentations that promote the use of our products* Work with operations team members to ensure customer requirements are clearly understood and that systems are built according to specifications (URS).
Sc. (or equivalent) in a life science or related field* Experience working within the biotech, biopharmaceutical, biologics, and / or life sciences industries in an engineering, technical or manufacturing capacity and GMP needs* Proficient in EnglishPreferred Qualifications* Detailed knowledge of BioProcess Containers and Single-Use systems* Comprehensive understanding of processes and applications used within the biopharmaceutical, biotech, human and animal vaccine industries* Extensive knowledge & understanding of cGMP & other regulatory guidelines for the Biotech and Biopharmaceutical manufacturing industry* Outstanding project management, communication, and presentation skills.
