Quality & Technical Manager OOH Northern Europe
This role is providing and maintaining Quality- and Technical services & support to our customers, commercial team & operations.
Main responsibility is to create a competitive advantage in the market and partnership with our customers by managing and differentiating our knowledge, expertise and innovative services & tools, as a critically valuable resource, that generate value for our customers and for our organization.
Reporting to the Business Unit Leader OOH Northern Europe, the role is a key function and an integral part of the commercial team.
This role is full-time, located in Breda or in the UK and Hay grade 17.
What do you do?
Contribute to and execute the Quality & Technical strategy.
Accountable for functioning of the assigned areas and responsible for the coherence and alignment with other areas / disciplines of the company.
Responsible for "translating" QA-technical customer analyses / feedback into the organization. Collaboration with core functions for future improvements and business needs.
Accountable for relevant pro-active bridging the gap on customer expectations vs delivered services / solutions.
Provide leadership, build and ensure a matrix way of working as well as coaching the specialists based in PAG (Product Applications Group).
Build and foster a long term relationship with our customers on all relevant aspects, i.e. trend analysis, questionnaires, complaint handling, etc.
Responsible for customer's product specification in respect to Quality, Food Safety and Operational Excellence;
Contribute in project from a Quality & Technical perspective in order to play a key rule to assure first time right;
Identify business opportunities, collaborate and support the NBU's by this in order to drive consistent quality;
Establishing effective partnerships within and outside the organization on various levels.
What do you bring?
Master degree in food science / technology or practical equivalent level;
5-10 years of relevant potato (international) experience (preferably in possession of PQT (Process Quality Training);
Strong project management skills and experience in leading complex-challenging programs, manage and coordinate multiple cross-functional projects simultaneously to achieve milestones and objectives;
Ability to understand, transform & communicate and influence effectively to lead change with people in an international setting;
Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English; other languages are beneficial;
Strong analytical, conceptual, research and problem solving skills with the ability to create original solutions;
Willing to travel frequently for business purposes, mainly within North & South Europe.
