As a Regional Director, Clinical Services you will be responsible for shaping, leading and managing the Business Development work effort within the clinical segment of the Avantor Clinical Services group initially within Europe, but potentially extending to wider geographies as our growth plans evolve.
As a successful hire, you will provide ongoing leadership, coaching, development, support and direction to 3 Business Development Managers whilst ensuring effective territory management and achievement of assigned sales, profit and expense goals.
This is an exciting new role where you will have a strong impact on this newly formed and dynamic business unit, which has a very significant potential for growth.
You will manage a $20-30M territory and be responsible for creating and implementing successful strategies to further penetrate and segment the market, consisting mainly of BioPharma and BioTech global and regional clients.
You will lead negotiations for key accounts, propose improvement areas for revenue or gross margin improvement, including pricing, prepare sales and gross margin forecasts for region territories, and analyze and monitor sales data for the region.
You will also need to successfully interface with the wider internal Avantor network of customers to improve opportunities within the clinical segment in the region.
This job can be organized in any location close to one of our offices, our customer's offices, or an international air hub.
It can be in partial or full home office in one of the following countries : UK, Belgium, France, Germany, The Netherlands

Experience in strategic account analysis, development and implementation
Ability to convey complex information in a succinct and compelling manner
You have experience in the organization of Clinical Studies : Biotech, CRO, Pharma, ideally in several of these domains, giving you good insight in the clinical value stream within Pharma and BioTech
You are Internally agile, you can influence, navigate an internal organization in order to get things done
