DfX plays a key role in Philips’ ability, in collaboration between business functions, to address total end-to-end cost and establish a new way of working, encouraging cooperation and transparency.

Design for eXcellence has been awarded by the World Procurement Leaders the Cross-functional Collaboration Award for 2016.

DfX has achieved great cost-down results so far, which are accurately measured and reported as savings. Now we want to increase our focus on value-

up and are in need of a way of measuring and reporting these results created by DfX.

Your responsibilities

  • Lead & orchestrate DfX projects, in close cooperation with the procurement Business / Commodity leaders / Markets, working as a strategic partner to Business & Procurement Management for agreement on the right assignments and then driving subsequent execution in consultation with the relevant functions and other key stakeholders for optimizing the Value Wedge on the both axes Value For the customers & Philips and Philips TCO costs.
  • Ensure excellent engagement with multi-functional and general management in the Philips Businesses and Philips markets.
  • Represent the DfX organization in the business and provide business management with regular project performance status updates, variances to plan and identification of corrective actions.
  • Ensure that there is an effective transfer and archiving of the DfX convention deliverables towards the standing organization in the business for Ideation executing agreed within the DfX Convention meetings.
  • Acting as a trusted advisor for the Businesses, creating improved results by orchestrating the End 2 End rethinking of the Integral Value chain of the Very wide Philips businesses and Markets.

    The DfX global team is led by Head of DfX reporting into the CPO, with >

    15 passionate DfX coaches from different backgrounds and experience levels place on 3 different regions in the world. Together they have been winning the Procurement Leaders (London) Global Cross collaboration award 2016.

    Which is a clear demonstration of wide recognition on impact, methodology and results.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience :

  • Master’s degree in a relevant technical / business discipline (e.g. Electro Technical, Mechanical, Optical, Thermal; Finance;
  • Procurement; Marketing)

  • Extended with MBA preferred
  • Professional with at least 10 years proven track record in Procurement / Program Management / R&D / Marketing / Business / Business Development / Consultant Management
  • Understanding of suppliers, business models, key drivers, measures and priorities
  • Entrepreneurial prove points with high level of trusted advisor capability
