Our new National Technology Officer is a real teamplayer. A teamplayer that has passion for technology, but more importantly, likes to the bridge technology into the relevant social and economic agenda for the Netherlands, and much as the other way around.

  • To enable this capabilities we are seeking for a talented professional that can build on the following key attributes;
  • Deep customer and market acumen :

  • A sought-after spokesperson and technical expert in local markets
  • Expand markets by contributing to local industry direction or via next-gen technology.
  • Clearly articulate digital transformation strategies and benefits to business executives and government decision makers.
  • Work with industry leads and Microsoft Engineering to develop a digital transformation technology strategy for their market.
  • Build an external influencer network to support Microsoft's digital transformation strategy.
  • Drive Responsible Tech Intensity :

  • As technology leader advocate, inspire and mobilize PS elites and customer CxO executives to fully understand the opportunities enabled by increased Tech Intensity and how to realize desired business outcomes.
  • Be the technical lead to help your country leverage the benefit of AI and other technologies in a responsible way (i.e.
  • Gov AI advisory bodies)

    Transformational Leader

  • Be the leading voice on data enabled digital transformation for local markets and regulated industries
  • Model Microsoft's technology vision and culture of learning, while developing strategies to protect and extend Microsoft Cloud into complex regulated markets.
  • Inspire leaders of state and enterprise, regulators and customers on how best to leverage innovation to drive digital transformation.
  • Trust Leader :

  • Expand or defend addressable PS and other regulated markets in an evolving policy, regulatory and customer environment (with CELA).
  • Be the technical lead on digital sovereignty, risk management, security, privacy, compliance, standards and certifications.
  • Understand how customers evaluate risks and what's needed to build trust and help them through their transformation.
  • Be deeply familiar with Microsoft's products’ and cloud services' compliancy processes and capabilities and know how to position them to customers and how to train partners.
  • Qualifications

    Key experiences, skills, and knowledge :

  • Perpetual curiosity and an effective approach to learning : What, how, when, and the way it shapes personal abilities
  • A deep understanding of the impact of technology; how it drives the current worldwide digital transformation in businesses and society
  • Competence in risk management, security and compliancy processes
  • Experience in complex and large scale technology projects
  • A good understanding of the technology policy environment and how it impacts customers and markets in their transformation
  • Demonstrated ability to quickly build valuable relationships and cultivate sustainable advisory roles
  • Competence in public speaking and in presenting complex company or product strategies in a compelling manner
  • Education :

  • Degree in Computer Science or similar information technology-related or engineering discipline required. Master's or PhD
  • Additional training or education in Business, Sales, Consulting, or Marketing preferred
  • Experience in Business Consulting is desired
