Responsible for managing all IFM; Security, Utility activities for Zwolle site. Improve the short, medium and long-term effectiveness and quality of the building equipment, facilities and utilities and giving lead to several (7 FTE) direct reports in the support group, with a budget of app 5 Million euro’s

Purpose :

Making sure the plant meets

  • and improves GMP guidelines, is audit ready at every moment and ensures a safe and quality environment for persons and product.
  • and improves all security guidelines.

  • the NEN 1010 guidelines to ensure safety
  • and improves fire prevention guidelines to ensure safety
  • Tasks and responsibilities :

  • Manage and improve the maintenance and improvement program for all the present facility & utilities of the Zwolle site.
  • Develop and implement a reliable program for preventive and corrective maintenance of facility & utilities.
  • Liaise closely with the Engineering group to contribute / execute technical and innovative (capital) projects.
  • Define, propose and implement objectives and best practices within the department.
  • Follow up, regularly review and improve departmental work methods, procedures and organization.
  • Develop the long term plan for GMP, utility and facility investments (LRP).
  • Communicate to management the results and developments achieved by the department
  • Outsourced Activities

  • Act as the Abbott lead for the outsourced activities related to facility, utilities
  • Ensure appropriate controls are in place, and monitored, so that any outsourced activity is executed in accordance with all Abbott requirements.
  • Assure continuous improvement

  • Decides and prioritizes on continuous improvement actions for facility and utilities department.
  • Initiate and implement improvement actions projects at department level.
  • Manage Quality - Hygiene, Safety and Environmental procedures

  • Permanently check that all activities under her / his control are performed in compliance with EHS&E policies.
  • Ensures follow up of procedures defined for quality, hygiene, safety and environment.
  • Supervises and takes action to further optimize departmental procedures.
  • Determines, communicates and implements the Quality policy of the department
  • Develop and manage policies and procedures

  • Develop and maintain global procedures and standards related to the own domain, in coherence with the global strategy . .
  • Manage the department’s budget / investments

  • Develop, approve and management of related budgets. (in total 5 MIO)
  • Explains budget variances and avoid exceeding.
  • Analyze deviations and take corrective actions.
  • Establishes a yearly investment plan for the department, justifies and defends it.
  • Manage the Department’s staff

  • Manage the team of 7 FTE’s direct reports and IFM integrator party (see Appendix A)
  • Participate in the selection, rotation and promotion process of department team members.
  • Defines objectives for, supervise, motivate, coach and evaluate the members of the team.
  • Ensures the exchange and distribution of information and expertise within the team.
  • Development and follow up of yearly defined personnel and formation plans for fixed and temp personnel.
  • Knowledge and experience :

  • Bachelor degree in Facility management and proven leadership skills
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in Facility management (for example Contract manager level)
