Making sure the stores we supply from Zwaagdijk-Oost get their products on time is no small feat. As a Process Manager you are our resident trouble-
shooter, finding solutions for urgent issues and fixing the processes so that our Distribution Centre in Zwaagdijk-Oost won’t run into the same issue again.
What you will do on a daily basis
Working at Action is not like working anywhere else, not only do we open 250 new stores a year, we promise our customers 150 new products every week.
This means our DC professionals need to be on top of their game.
As a Process Manager not one day is the same. On the one side you manage directly two teams : Process Control and Stock Control, with about 50 employees.
On the other hand you are the problem-solver for DC. For instance, there is a threat of disruption, it is up to you to try to limit the impact.
You are able to find the bottlenecks and resolve them to move toward an even stronger DC function.
What are your areas of responsibility?
As a Process Manager you take care of the Operational Management by managing the standard procedures, people and processes, maintaining relationships with Sales Managers and Service Providers and by securing compliance with labour, environment, safety legislation and regulations.
You are part of the Management Team in the DC in Zwaagdijk-Oost.
You will be responsible for improving all the logistic processes in Zwaagdijk-Oost, by critically analysing the DC as it is now, you find ways to optimize our processes and you initiate and plan projects to continuously improve the way we work.
Next to this, you take care of any problem that arise during the day with regards to the DC. Your quick thinking and communication skills ensure that all the stakeholders are up to date on the issue and the issue gets resolved as soon as possible.
Finally, you are responsible for leading your teams, giving them clear working instructions and planning their activities to attain your targets.
Your management skills enable your employees to grow in their role and within Action. By providing constructive feedback you ensure your teams are enthusiastic and inspired by the work they do.
