The Credit and Collections team consists of 22 team members who actively manage and coordinate credit collection for an assigned portfolio of customers.

We are responsible for an efficient cash collection. One of our core activities is contacting the customers to manage outstanding debt.

The team is very flexible, collaborative and has exciting challenges within a constant changing organization. They are experienced in their line of work and have established strong relationships with various 3rd party suppliers and with our customers.

Your JOB

As a Team Leader Credit Collections your role is to ensure that specific credit collection goals are met through coaching, counseling, monitoring, and motivating a team of credit collectors and analysis while maintaining compliance with order-to-cash policies and defined collection strategies.


  • To maintain and execute collection strategies in line with set standards and policies
  • To guarantee timely and effective execution of internal control framework
  • To exercise good management judgment in the execution of job responsibilities
  • To control bad debt provision and expenses
  • To control cost related to 3rd party collection and credit rating agencies
  • To set up, review and maintain service line agreements with 3rd party collection agency
  • To act as a subject matter expert; propose, implement and maintain continuous improvement log in the field of collection and credit risk management
  • To ensure delivery of daily and monthly collection and credit management reports
  • To review daily progression to cash targets; adjusts and yields collection and credit activities accordingly to meet cash collection objectives
  • To guide, review and initiate capacity management for credit and collection activities; ensures compliance with the departmental policies and procedures
  • To actively manage cross functional dependencies
  • Adhere to the ICCC principles
  • To guarantee effective capacity management for query handling front office and back office capacity
  • Recruit, build, manage and develop a team of motivated staff members to maximize performance and ensure delivery of the agreed objectives

  • Able to gather, structure and analyze information and data. Based on this data you can identify patterns,draw conclusions and recognize the implications for the department and wider organization
  • Has solid knowledge of main products, services and business processes of their key business and basic knowledge of all other divisions
  • Has basic knowledge of banking, credit collection, cash management and payment systems
  • Is able to identify main business drivers and operational and commercial realities and draw implications for performance and vice versa
  • Has knowledge of the DPDHL financial policies ,is able to appropriately apply these policies and is able to ensure compliance with DPDHL financial policies in their day-to-day activities

  • Strong communication skills both verbally and written to all levels of the organization
  • Well-developed relationship skills and ability to network with multiple levels of an organization and other business units.
  • Understands simple negotiation dynamics and is able to prepare information and explore opportunities and risks in negotiation processes
  • Is able to act upon decisions that have been taken by others, and make appropriate decisions affecting their own work where they are empowered to do so, requesting the support or clarification from their manager or colleagues if needed
  • A leader, who builds, guides and motivates teams
