The Major Product Design is hiring a Lecturer or Senior Lecturer (level of appointment is based on previous experience) for 0,1 / 0,2 fte with a focus on material practice and concept development.
The lecturer we are looking for can also teach storytelling, presenting and should able to work in different (professional) contexts .
This should be accompanied with a critical perspective in which climate justice, cultural identity and representation, and other shifting paradigms are explicitly present.
Primarily, you should be excited about questioning established norms through design, and be a proponent of critical new design literacy.
We are looking for a hybrid practitioner-teacher who is excited about the possibilities of project-based education, and who wants to grow as an educator.
You should be interested in helping to envision the future of the major program, and of design education as a whole. The ability to work collaboratively is a must, as all of our education is team-based.
The candidates would be required to prepare the course in July and start teaching in September 2021.

Rotterdam University of Applied Sciences offers a temporary contract, from September 1, 2021 to August 31, 2022. The salary ranges from €2.
845,48 to €5.026,85 gross per month (salary scale 10 or 11) for a full-time employment, exclusive of additional 8% holiday pay and 8.
3% end-of-year bonus. Secondary benefits include professional training opportunities and an attractive pension scheme.
