The Accountant, Accounting Service Group’s goal is to ensure the accuracy, reliability and integrity of the AP, AR and related accounting processes.
Within this role is the responsibility to establish and implement an effective system of internal controls and to ensure compliance with Nuvasive policies and procedures and any applicable laws and regulations.
Accounting, Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables
Ownership on AR, AP, T&E and Cash processes (end to end) supporting AP accountant.
Liaise with relevant parties (customers, group companies and suppliers, etc.) to resolve critical invoice / accounting discrepancies.
Oversee system automation and efficiency to ensure compliance and uniformity of all processes
Prepare monthly accrual and review AP / AR monthly management and KPI reporting
Ensures all transactions are in compliance with US and local GAAP and are posted in a timely manner
Maintains documentation to support account balances in a manner that facilitates the efficient review and audit of books and records
Ensures an accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end close with the respective team, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals and journals
Collaborates with the other accounting team members to understand Inventory.
Works with the internal and external stakeholders to ensure clean audits
Assist in development and implementation of new procedures and features to enhance the workflow of the department
Supports internal stakeholders with special projects and workflow process improvements
Protects organization's value by keeping information confidential
VAT and Intrastat Accounting
Support to the Tax Manager :
Ensure VAT and intrastat transactions are properly accounted for and recorded
Identify and communicate any issues that may indicate and increased risk to the business
Accounting / business degree plus at least 3 years of experience
Advanced proficiency in Excel and other Microsoft office products
ERP and accounting systems skills (preferably SAP and Business 1)
Fluent in English and Dutch
Desire to perform in a fast paced environment
Proactive to daily challenges and willing to solve problems
Excellent Oral and written communication
High level of honesty, integrity, commitment and responsibility
Able to resolve problems and conflicts and a professional and tactful manner
Able to identify and implement innovative solutions to meet business requirements
