Responsible for theoverall management of an engineering and design team, providing technical andadministrative leadership, manage the overall scheduling and execution of work
Experience with Conceptual& Basic Engineering packages
Establish, communicateand monitor working standard and levels of proficiency for the engineering team
and providing technical assistance and consultation with otherDiscipline Section Leaders / Senior Engineers to ensure the achievement ofestablished objectives.
Represent the companyin project review meetings.
Establish appropriateworking relationships with current and prospective clients, engineering staff,project management, senior management and administrative / human resourcestaff.
Travel, as necessary,in order to perform functions such as construction site inspection, informationgathering and / or client meetings.
Ability to produce 30%and 10% accurate labour and equipment estimates that are industry competitive.
Ability to execute theengineering activities within budget and on schedule.
Ability to lead otherdisciplines if required. Establish good working relationship with otherDiscipline Section Leaders.
JobSpecific Knowledge :
Specialist experiencein plant process preferred
Extensive technicaland practical experience in process engineering in the same or similar industryincluding experience in working in multi-
disciplinary projects andteams.
Should have sufficientknowledge of non-specialist areas to be able to provide direction to a team ofmechanical and piping engineers / designers of various backgrounds asneeded.
Experience inPre-FEED, FEED and EPCm projects.
Leads complex andoften cross-functional project teams.
Will regularlyinterface with departmental staff and upper management, and frequently withoutside clientele.
Industry Specific Experience :
Candidatemust have a broad knowledge of national and international codes and standards
