The position holder will be managing the integration of Devices and Systems Platformization initiatives in the Connected Care portfolio’s
Devices and Systems Platformization is a key strategic imperative in the Connected Care Transformation Program. The program aims to bring better Smart Connected Innovations, with higher customer experience and faster time to market and to achieve higher R&D Productivity by re-use and capability consolidation.
The main purpose of the job is to manage day to day activities of the initiatives. These activities range from :
Platform definition and adoption by Business R&D teams
Lead workstreams on organizational set-up for modular design
Lead business case creation (ROI for platformization)
Lead workstreams on reference / platform architecture creation
Besides R&D experience, change management is an important aspect of the role as Devices and Systems Platformization challenges the status quo.
The position holder will drive the performance on Platformization via predefined and new (meaningful) KPI’s.
You are responsible for
Is a member of the Connected Care Cluster (PMO) Innovation Team.
Works closely with the Devices and Systems engineering leader in the Connected Care
Devices & Systems Engineering leader to set objectives and direction.
Co-defines workstreams in the Devices and Systems Platformization program and their goals, organizes the resources to be used (time, budget, scope, and information) and specifies quality standards.
Defines the delivery plans for the program workstreams and has a clear sense of what will be achieved in the medium term.
Creates cross business department matrix teams to achieve specific Devices and Systems Platformization objectives and promotes co-design and collaboration (Community of Practice).
Initiates and coordinates effective communication / change management strategies for projects / programs as appropriate.
Deploys Process Improvement and Quality Assurance on Devices and Systems platformization. Facilitates cross business learning and best practice sharing (Community of Practice).
Responsible for the platform adoption deployment in the Connected Care R&D teams.
Responsible for the creation of Platform / Module team business cases in support of productivity targets.
Integrate central delivery teams like TTT’s (technology triangle teams), PDC’s (product design centers) and Platform teams in the Business R&D organization.
Leads workstreams to align and setup capabilities between module teams and business R&D teams in a global footprint context.
Leads cross business assessments on e.g. technology implementation and ref. architectures.
Reporting on relevant business and I2M KPI’s around deployment and adoption.
Provides management and stakeholders with regular project / program performance status, variances to plan and identification of corrective actions.

The position will report to the CC-PMO, yet operationally to the Connected Care - Devices and Systems Engineering Leader.
The position holder will work with many representatives of the various Devices and Systems teams in Connected Care, with the Product Engineering organization, CAO and Research programs.
To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
Master’s or bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of experience leading teams in a R&D centric organization.
Ability to understand business and technical requirements to lead teams around a common vision to execute.
Has proven track record / significant experience in project and program management in medical device industry : PMI PMP certified (or equivalent experience).
Expertise of managing engineering efficiency & velocity, including assessments and process implementation to ensure optimized output across internal and external resources.
Demonstrated ability to influence in areas outside of direct control (product roadmap, finance, marketing, operations).
Comfortable in a global matrix organization, including indirect functional engagement with product development processes, quality systems and the senior leadership.
Excellent communication skills, including ability to communicate across all levels of the organization both technical and non-technical.
Challenges the status quo, demonstrates mature analytical skills and robust problem-solving.
Preferably knowledge and experience in LEAN and Business Transformation.
