Job Overview

The global product marketing manager will own the global processes related to the product marketing function within the Industrial business unit.

This role is responsible for providing direction according to established policies and management guidance to manage, coach and develop local direct reports in various marketing functional roles as well as provide in-

direct supervision, coaching and development for the product marketing analysts in all other regions in coordination with their local manager.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Generate customer demand and loyalty by developing, deploying and measuring the results of clear and compelling product marketing programs for both new product introductions (NPIs), legacy product promotions and technology solutions, focusing on driving awareness and demand for products and technologies in collaboration with PM, Sales and Channel partners.

Participates in the development of plans for product promotion in support of marketing objectives. Responsible to create effective marketing programs and ensure on-

time delivery of content. Create effective marketing programs by working with internal and external creative resources to develop videos, advertisement, presentations, brochures, etc.

that result in lead generation and product sales that support both high impact product launches and improve sales in weaker product lines by driving sales and brand preference.

Prepares materials for internal and external presentations on products, business plans and management communications.

Manage product launches and marketing plans through marketing automation technologies such as Salesforce.com and Eloqua.

Define, measure and report on the return of all demand marketing activities and investments.

Leverage the Industrial marketing operations team and central marketing resources for improved marketing performance and documented return on investment.

Work closely with the analytics teams to drive a culture of accountability, working across functional teams to measure, monitor and report on 360 impact of all marketing and customer touch points and engagements.

Ensure TE is effectively bringing products to both our internal (sales) and external (client) customers by taking ownership for the launch planning and go-

to-market process, ensuring all market-facing communications deliver clear, compelling, differentiated messages that drive customer engagement and response.

Work with Product Managers and Engineers to tell the TE / BU product story and communicate with Product Managers on key product development and updates.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage the local marketing team
  • In-direct supervision of all product marketing analysts in the business unit
  • Own all components of new product campaign development, implementation and measurement as well as ensuring our various channels and messages are working together to consistently articulate the value of TE to our customers, employees, partners and influencers
  • Demonstrated experience working across the marketing mix and be an expert at communicating in written, oral and digital forms
  • Ensure alignment of campaign strategy with overall marketing strategy and business priorities
  • Create, implement and measure the impact of marketing campaigns leveraging all marketing channels - advertising, public relations, digital / social media, collateral and events
  • Maintain an enterprise mindset, working closely with BU and Center Communications teams to ensure alignment in campaign messaging
  • What your background should look like :

    Knowledge, skills & experience required :

  • BA / BS degree in Marketing communications, journalism, public relations or related field, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 7+ years marketing experience including a demonstrated ability to produce effective communications and campaigns
  • Ability to influence internal business partners with whom no direct reporting relationship exists
  • Expert knowledge in product marketing and crafting clear and compelling value propositions for technical products
  • Engineering or product management background a plus
  • Experience with digital marketing tools and concepts
  • Computer proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Visio)
  • Experience with project management software or agile management systems
  • Experience working with external agencies
