The (Senior) L&D Specialist is responsible for design and development of engaging and impactful L&D programs and interventions at scale, based on deep employee insight and smart use of (digital) technology.

You will play a key role in creating ever more personal and collaborative professional development experiences and performance support solutions at work (70 20 10) for FrieslandCampina staff worldwide.

We work closely with Global L&D Experts in the CoE Talent & Leadership Development (responsible for L&D strategy and programming) and contribute to HR Centre journey teams to step-

change the personal development experience of candidates, employees, teams and organizational entities.

Job description

In this position, you will be responsible for :

  • L&D Design & Development You design and implement FrieslandCampina specific (cross-site) L&D interventions, journeys and knowledge management solutions, in line with our program priorities and in-
  • sync with HR technology infrastructure

  • L&D Technology & Standards You support specification, optimization and implementation of critical L&D technology (platforms) for global leverage
  • L&D Processes & Organization You co-drive the development and implementation of LEAN (standardized) L&D processes across FrieslandCampina worldwide
  • Strong Vendor Base You help build and strengthen a world-class base of strategic L&D partners for FrieslandCampina
  • L&D Strategy You help bring to live our vision on learning, translating into cohesive and effective plans and programs across businesses and functions.
  • You co-drive critical make or buy decisions (off-the-shelf versus custom solutions)

  • Coaching and Enablement You guide and enable local L&D staff by developing and deploying strong standards and supporting toolset.
  • You mentor fellow L&D Specialists as part of building a best-in-class L&D function for FrieslandCampina

  • Quality Control & improvement You set clear action standards and ROI metrics for L&D interventions, review effectiveness and drive improvements jointly with our customers
  • Communication & Availability You support relevant communications and change management initiatives to strengthen learner engagement at FrieslandCampina

    We are looking for

  • To qualify for this role, you have a Master level degree in business relevant area(s) combined with a minimum of 6 years relevant work experience and proven track record in Corporate L&D.
  • You are passionate about 21st century L&D, experienced in leveraging innovative L&D concepts, work practices and digital technology.
  • You are truly employee centric, with a proven track-record in designing L&D interventions that enable learning in the flow of work’.

  • You navigate with ease from strategic to design and implementation stage, with a strong drive for results. Complex stakeholder management skills and solid project management practice define you.
  • A solid business understanding adds to make you a respected consultant and trusted advisor to our internal customers.


    To be a successful in this position, you are / have :

  • Academic Master think-work level in relevant area, e.g. Social Sciences, Special HR / L&D
  • Minimum 6 years’ L&D experience in a complex international stakeholder environment, withroven track record in transforming the L&D function
  • Strong team player, both in mindset and execution
  • Skills :

  • Deep knowledge of and experience in learning techniques, technologies and analytics
  • Project, process and program management
  • Organizational development and change management
  • Design thinking, Agile development and creativity
  • Continuous improvement
  • Strong consultative relationship building
  • Fluent in English and good knowledge of Dutch, other languages are a plus
  • Experience in marketing, sales and / or innovation is a plus
