Within the department of TechnologyInnovations at the young plant production site in De Lier we are looking forstudents working on research projects to improve the young plant production tobe ready for the future.
You will work in an enthusiastic team of specialistsin applied Research and Phytopathology.
The challenge In agriculture, plant growth is optimized by theuse of fertilizers, pesticides, and so called plant growth regulators’ (PGRs).
For this specific Traineeship we will focus on Biostimulants. Currentlythere is a shift to move to an integrated pest management (IPM) strategy whereinBiostimulants needs to be investigated.
Syngenta is currently interested in thequestion if bio-stimulants can be useful to promote plant health and the youngplant survival rates, especially for plant varieties that are difficult togrow.
During your internship at Syngenta Flowers you will trial different Biostimulantson a number of our most important crops and measure the effect of the differenttreatments and gain new knowledge on the impact Biostimulants can have on ouryoung plant productions.
You are close to finalizeyour Bachelor or Master’s degree in agriculture. You like to run appliedresearch in a Greenhouse environment and lab facilities with immediate impacton productions.
