An Executive Senior Reward Manager in the Executive Rewards team, within the Global HR (GHR) Community of Expertise Performance and Reward.

Performance and Reward consists of eight key areas : Performance Management, Equity Rewards, Executive Rewards, Broad-Based Rewards, Remuneration and Regulations, International Mobility, Pension and Benefits and Change Lead.

This is a particularly exciting time to join as GHR is implementing its HR Target Operating Model (HR TOM) supported by a new Global HR IT solution (WorkDay).

As part of HR TOM, Global Communities of Expertise (CoEs) are created and you can be part of this challenging journey.

Role Summary

This is a newly created role and will support and, at times, deputise for the Global Head of Executive Reward in providing traditional global executive reward services.

The role will also focus on the day-to-day delivery and support for the assigned global business line / function.

Executive Reward

  • Supports the preparation and presentation of the papers for the MBB and SB / RemCo meetings. Manages resulting outcomes through to completion.
  • Manage the annual compensation process for the Executive Directors (ED), MBB and senior population ensuring market competitor analysis is carried out to support decision-making.
  • Preparation of the Group Directors Remuneration Report of the Annual Report each year, liaising with other specialist areas as appropriate and ensuring all information required is available and consistent with the figures in the Report.
  • Monitors and interpret new regulations and legislative developments which affects plans and recommends policy changes in line with Corporate Governance requirements e.g. CEO Pay Ratio etc.
  • Works closely with other stakeholders to ensure the ED / MBB members have the correct pay, shares, tax and benefits applied.
  • Develop new global reward policies, standards and processes.
  • Oversee the job evaluation, grading and benchmarking process for the senior population.
  • Advise on senior compensation for new hire packages in line with regulatory compliance.
  • Provide support, and lead on, global reward change projects as required.
  • Act as the Company expert in one or more specialisms of reward such as job evaluation, benchmarking, cash compensation, benefits, recognition, reward policy and governance.
  • Deputise for the Global Head of Executive Reward as required.
  • Reward Partner

  • Lead the implementation of the Global P&R strategy into the global business line / function including educating business areas on reward governance policies and frameworks.
  • Act as P&R subject matter expert providing technical reward knowledge and expertise to designated global business line / function.
  • Lead and manage all reward matters as it relates to the annual compensation review process for respective global business line / function, including set-
  • up, funding, allocations, CompCo’s.

  • Work with global and country HRDs, HRBPs and senior stakeholders to design and implement appropriate reward solutions, as required.

    You are a driven Reward professional with extremely good social and communication skills. You not only identify with our objectives and culture but are also able to make a real difference by propagating this culture.

    In addition, you recognise yourself in the following qualities :

  • You have a minimum of 10 years’ experience in Reward at a multinational company. You have been involved in all aspects of compensation, including complex annual compensation reviews, executive compensation, policy development and role out.
  • Due to the complex regulatory framework we operate within experience with reward at a financial industry sector company is considered a benefit

  • You are a pleasant person to work with, able to work both as a team member and independently
  • You are a trusted sparring partner for HR Directors and Business Partners as well as line managers. You identify business issues and are able to develop possible solutions.
  • You have a strong personality in order to deal with senior management

  • You are able to determine the planning and budget, identify the project risks, organise teams and monitor progress of various projects simultaneous.
  • You are result-oriented and take responsibility and ownership

  • Furthermore, you are capable of presenting your ideas in a clear and convincing manner
  • You are able to quickly deliver on both day-to-day activities as well as projects, while maintaining great follow through and attention to detail.
  • While doing so, you are proactive, resourceful, and are willing to go the extra mile

    Skills required

  • Master's level or equivalent by experience, preferably in HR, business administration or equivalent
  • More than 10 years of work experience in a compensation and benefits department of a large, listed multinational organization or a consulting practice
  • The job holder may hold a qualification in finance or tax, although this is no essential
  • Experience with reward matters as it relates to traditional Executive Reward services and preparing RemCo papers
  • Excellent knowledge of Corporate Governance requirements and regulatory provisions
  • Fluent in English and preferably Dutch
  • Strong numerical and advanced analytical and excel skills
  • Excellent influencing skills and credibility at senior level
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both oral and written
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Storyboarding in PowerPoint, ideally
  • Ability to lead a team
