What to expect

The Stewarding department provides all necessary materials to every F&B department on a daily basis and is also responsible for cleaning all nine kitchens of the hotel.

All of this is done according to very strict HACCP standards.

You will be working as a Stewarding Supervisor trainee. As Supervisor, you are responsible for the daily tasks of cleaning the kitchens.

Throughout the day you clean and wash the materials of the kitchen and do a thorough wash of the kitchen once the service has ended.

As a supervisor, you will provide the kitchens with necessary materials, such as glassware and silverware. Your main tasks will be :

  • Carrying out operation tasks (dishwashing and cleaning duties);
  • Directing and motivating Stewards with their daily tasks;
  • Communicating with all kitchens and restaurants on a daily basis;
  • Ensure daily checks within the team to see that all standards are being met. To correct this when not done;
  • Providing materials needed and maintain the stock;
  • Providing input to improve activities within the team and implement it.
  • You traineeship will be carried out in shifts throughout a 7-day workweek. You will work 5 days per week, 7.6 hours per day.

    You are available to work on public holidays. It is possible to work on your thesis or school projects once per week.

  • What do we ask?

    We are primarily interested in you and what we as an employer can do for you. Nevertheless we expect from you that :

  • You are fluent in Dutch and English (oral and written);
  • You are an enrolled student at a mbo level 4 Hotel school;
  • You have good communication skills;
  • Culturally aware and able to work in a diverse team;
  • Good planning and organization skills.
