What will you do?
The Global Marketing Manager for our Materials Science business will focus on the development and execution of marketing campaigns for imaging and analysis solutions in industrial applications using a customer focused, go to market approach.
This experienced marketing manager will be a key contributor within the Materials Science team and contribute to the overall growth of the Business Unit.
The ideal candidate knows impactful marketing requires a balance of creativity and analytics to be successful. They will have proven experience in global product commercialization, developing content and marketing initiatives that maximize audience engagement to create and maintain a strong demand generation funnel.
Success will require navigation of a matrixed organization to gain stakeholder alignment and the ability to manage complex projects that span multiple end customer segments, on time and within budget.
The ideal candidate for this role will need to partner with key stakeholders to develop global and integrated multi-channel strategic marketing plans, and create and manage tactical execution, in order to achieve marketing KPI, revenue targets, and other annual operating plan objectives.
Work across multiple teams to develop and execute integrated, multi-channel marketing campaigns and programs within the portfolio
Collaborate with product management to create and execute go-to-market strategy to support new market penetration including audience segmentation and messaging, product / portfolio positioning, communication channel selection, and tactic execution.
Develop an understanding of business and product line growth strategies, financials, and market landscape. Create and implement marketing strategies and campaigns that align to business priorities and drive growth.
Leverage content marketing experience to adapt technical content into persuasive messaging needed to help drive awareness, demand, and conversion for materials science products
Enhance digital footprint of supported product portfolios through continuous optimization of nurture programs, SEM, SEO, and web content, in partnership with divisional marketing team
Maintain a robust lead generation funnel and sales support tools to enable multiple sales channels
Analyze key marketing programs for Return on Investment and program optimization
Support in-person and digital event schedule for varying types of events ranging from small to large proprietary or industry conferences
Regular and ad-hoc oral and written communication of metrics, successes, failures, best practices etc. to improve the overall operating efficiency of the team.
Track and manage marketing budget at a tactic, project, and program level to ensure alignment with annual operating plan
Interact with varying levels of internal and external audiences including being the main connection to divisional marketing for the business unit, direct customer communication, Key Opinion Leader (KOL) engagement and management, and vendors / suppliers
May perform other related duties as required and / or assigned.
How will you get there?
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications.
Minimum 7 years of experience in developing and executing go-to-market plans, marketing campaign planning and program and tactic development
Experience working in a complex, highly matrixed organization and ability to partner / influence
Strong marketing acumen and experience in developing marketing strategy including customer segmentation, positioning, competitive analysis, sales funnels, and staging and pacing of tactical programs
Demonstrated success developing and executing digital marketing initiatives for product portfolios in industrial markets including lead nurturing, marketing automation, trigger-based emails, SEO / SEM, display online advertising, social media, and web / microsites.
Experience marketing technical products to industrial markets preferred
Exceptional communication skills as well as analytical, project management and planning skills necessary.
Travel is required ( 15%) and may be international.
