The Expertise Team Financial Markets has a global mandate within ING Wholesale Banking - an organisation employing 11,000 people in 40 countries.

This is a consultancy role within the ING Expertise Team Financial Markets. The team works fully Agile and provides end2end global process / service expertise for the Financial Markets domain worldwide and drive implementation of process improvements, changes and controls.

Focus is on Foreign Exchange, Money Market, Derivatives and Capital Markets. The team is the global service and process owner toward the business partners around the globe and responsible for monitoring the delivered service.

We are looking for a senior Black belt who wants to take the lead in guiding the Wholesale Bank organisation towards excellent processes.

In your role as consultant you act on multiple levels within the organisation; from operational staff to senior management.

In order to create support and alignment during the improvement projects, a high level of interpersonal and coaching skills is key.

On top of this, strong analytical skills and numerical understanding are required in order to structure problems, perform analyses and select the proper root causes and solutions.

Job description

On a day-to-day basis, you will be :

  • Providing fact-based analyses and advice on improvement potential which enables the Expertise Team to initiate and deliver the right improvement projects that create impact
  • Executing projects in which you guide the entire process chain with expertise in the field of process improvements and change management
  • Improving end-to-end process performance of Financial Markets processes
  • Advising on improvement initiatives (eliminate, digitize, move) in alignment with Functional Lead and Process participants
  • Involving stakeholders in process performance reviews, improvement decisions, planning and implementation of process improvements
  • Coordinating definition of key performance metrics for processes (customer satisfaction, cycle time, cost / productivity, capacity etc.)
  • Process design and descriptions
  • Process Management (ARIS, process modelling and descriptions)
  • Design and implementation of Risk controls and PCF
  • Your profile

    Besides the qualities that are described in the Orange Code, you recognise yourself in the following :

  • You have a Master’s degree and are fluent in English;
  • Certified Blackbelt with a proven track record
  • Self-starter with ability to take responsibility, to work on own initiative, and to bring positive change.
  • You have strong analytical skills and get energy of translating complexity into a clear vision and structure, always looking for ways to improve the status quo;
  • You are easy to work with, have excellent organizational, communication and sensitivity skills, and have a drive to work in a bank-
  • wide, international environment;
  • You have strong influencing skills and a result-driven / persistent and can-do mentality
  • Strong affinity with agile way of working
